1. I finally took the plunge and ordered a Custom shop bass today I am still sorting out my Shuker in the background but this one is signed off and sealed! I don't want to give too much away (Wayne knows a bit about it although I changed quite a bit since talking to him!) It is a well know brand but in a style completely unlike what they usually make Delivery is November - December so its a bit of a wait ahead
2. The TSL is an absolute monster, in my eyes the best amp Marshall have made in years (craps on the Mode 4, JVM and these ridiculous new JDM things) My brother has the head and cab version and it really makes a wonderful noise. Bump on me
3. Make em lefty and I will make an offer!
4. What does the looper do exactly? How long of a loop can you make?
5. I will take both the bags off you Postage?
6. I have a Harley Benton Acoustic bass sitting doing not much http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_hbb30_nt_lh.htm That and cash your way?
7. My CIJ P is a complete darling. Admitedly to most people I havge ruined it by changing the pickups, attaching a wierdly placed thumbrest and putting a bridge cover on but balls to the non believers!
8. Just a couple of things buddy and this is just advice (I am a lefty so no real interest in the bass from me!) Gold Hardware is standard for Streamer Jazzmen (man's/men) The blue is ocean blue coloured oil, yes it is an upcharge from natural on the price list but not by any means hard to get. The second hand Warwick Market is really a buyers one at the moment, some incredible examples have gone on this site and the bay for much less than you are asking, of course that doesn't mean you won't get a bite (the bass is worth what someone is willing to pay!) Example - (sorry josh for link stealing!) http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=jazzman Left handed and the upgraded ACG preamp for 400 less than you are asking! Good luck with it though mate, please don't get offended just trying to give you a bit of honest advice.
9. Someone buy this chunk of amazing!
10.
You should send that back mate. It's all on the piss
This gave me a seriously giggle.
11. I love the LX, I really don't know at the moment, I have a custom shop idea which Wayne knows about but other than that.. Who knows!
12. I am a tad confused! Which RockBass did you strip, I have not seen a RockBass with MM/J
13.
oooh, i never even realised the $$ streamer had a maple neck.
Live and learn! I have a RockBass Corvette and the body shape is really nice but I am weighing up a few Streamers at the moment, I think I will be going for an LX in French Violet High Gloss
14. The biggest difference on the two is that the Streamer has the maple neck, it definately comes through in the tone. A lot more bite and overall the instrumement feels a bit more trebley. I would go for a Streamer!
15. I just dont need a tone control! Too cack handed have a GEB-7 on the floor where all my boosting comes from
16. Been playing with the head version of this for the past few weeks at work, it sounds bloody fantastic. I am assuming the sound is comparable to the head into a 2x10 custom GB cab which I been running it as and its a really good tone. Kustom have upped their game last few years! Bump on me!
17.
*clicks enlarge*
^this.
18. I have the identical bass to this but a lefty! I can assure any potential buyers that before I butchered mine with a duncan, thumbrest and bridgecover it was completely amazing. Best P I ever played. Hand on heart.
19. Was there not some talk of Florin over at the Warwick forums taking this before?
20. The Streamer is a slightly more expensive option and of course has the Maple neck giving it a more biting tone. I love $$ though, very quickly my thumb adapted to sit in the slot between the front pickup screw and although it is a bit wierd to first learn to slap on it the hand position is very comfy.
21. I believe Absolute actually have a couple of special edition Corvette standard fretless models in at the moment http://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/store/index...tl4/p_3964.html Might be worth giving them a buzz and popping in
22. Real men play a pink bass!
