It's a 4 isn't it?
plot = lost! I thought you were talking about the shine. I need to sleep more
Let me know if you do end up selling, please.
You back after a 5? Also nice rig, I had Mex jazz in Midnight wine which I sold, I often think that if it had been in that colour (Blue Agave I think) I would of kept it. I think thats a pre-upgrade because they didn't offer that colour on the newer models and if so there is one thing to look out for, myself and 3 other people I know who had Standard Jazz basses all had our E string bridge saddle collapse after 12/18 months. If you can afford it change the stock bridge for a Badass II. Just my 2p's

I work in the industry, but I would rather not give out specifics. Have you compared the Sterling to a Ray? Honest opinion if you have?? I have a ray but never had the chance to play a lefty Sterling, if enough people give me good news I might just bite the bullet and order one.

One of my bands went through a suits stage but its just too hot! Then it was black shirts with jeans, it was simple but worked, our trumpet player always wore a white tie and noone else did, looked good in pix as was just enough difference not for the whole thing to look boring

+1 for above! Didn't think of that!

good question! You reckon we could get a discount if we buy 50 or so? one for everyone in this thread!

Does it come with rack ears? Im kind of hankering over an old Lexicon Reverb unit or something
I pop the fuses out of the back of the amp. Same result
Haha I like this too! Although the fact the lock thing is gold and glittery just adds to the effect!
I like your style sir!
How good would it be the first time someone tried to plug in without asking you first and just stood there dumbfounded

I have my AKG wireless racked into my case under my MarkBass head at the moment with a half width blanking panel next to it. Anyone know of a bass effect that takes up 1U rack space half width? I just want something in there! Im good for EQ, Distortion and Modulation. Maybe compressor, Reverb or something would be nice I cant find anything!

Not entirely sure tbh mate. But I know theres quite a bit following for the older Aria Pro II's Like I said im not much of a fan/expert on them but some people really dig the older Aria stuff EDIT - Just did some research seems these aren't held in much regard. Maybe someone interested though

I always say the same thing in these threads! MARKBASS! the VLE control gives such a nice vintage sound
This always gets the audience's attention, IMHO.
Not when you adjust your setlist for such venues! Whenever we did these gigs we started with a song that just had 4 bit open E's for the first 20 seconds on bass. Looks quite cool crouching to play them then jumping up for the song coming in. Or maybe im just a showboater!

Not really a fan of these but someone might be interested http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aria-Pro-II-Bass-Gui...=item3efbf2544a Nice condition looking at it.
Perhaps a VT Bass Deluxe would be useful?
One of the many reasons I bought my Boss GEB7 was venues that didnt allow eq or were running tight 5 min change overs and you dont get enough time to, its easy to bend down for 20 seconds of the first song and play with it.
1. Being asked to provide a backline for all the other bands except the headliner on a 4 band bill, but your band are on first before anybody arrives. 2. When you are headlining, a support band will turn up, use your gear and then leave without so much of a thank you or staying to at least hear you play. 3. People not bringing their own gear, but feel the need to complain about your gear
Im actually gritting my teeth These 3 things are my absolute pet peeves Nobody uses my stuff anymore, I had some cheeky git ask to use my pedal board once 'only for the tuner caus mines broken...' Yeh right, I went through my bag found a battered qwiktune handed it to him. If he had said to me 'mind if I quickly tune up before I go on me tuners busted' I wouldnt of minded but am I going to let him stomp all over 300 quids worth of pedals and board? Hell no.

Pic of truss rod? Just to satisfy my curiosity

£700 seems VERY low for a 500+ person venue especially when you take into account mics' cables for everything spare cables Stands etc etc I run a PA rental company and I reckon my rig which was over £3000 might struggle in a 500+ venue If your interested im willing to take time and put together a full list of what you need as close to budget as possible for you just because I'll enjoy the challenge! Let me know

Nice! Hope it arrives im intrigued to see it!
Yeah the bass comes first then the idea, in fact I just bought a Peavey International for £36, I haven't seen it yet but I'm sure it'll get the paint treatment.
Is this the ebay bass with no pics? If so +1 for awesome
I enjoy modding. The honest answer is that I have ended up with most of them by accident, 2 of them I got for free and I paid less then £50 for 3 of them. I wouldn't consider the Fenders, VMJ, MM, and SX as entry level and generally they are the ones I gig with.
Thats cool, so usually the bass comes before the idea then? I only mod pretty subtly maybe P/up swap or on my P added the thumb rest and bridge cover. And just did some reading on the SX, didnt realise they were held in such high regard, I saw one a few months back and wish I had plunged now! and agree on the MM, Fenders and VMJ also! cool stuff anyway, do you refin for other people?
