  5. I am thinking about buying a 6 string , Can anyone recomend any Quality 6 string bass guitars that would be worth looking at up to £ 1500 mybe £ 1600 new or second hand that is easy to play. I would be very interested to hear anyone's thoughts / opions etc Thanks in advance Chris

I believe them to be original to the bass. From what I have read this is fairly comman with instruments made in this era as Fender were using up parts that had been in stock for a while. On a Calibrated set of scales the Bass weighs 4.476 Kg which is 9.867 Lbs. [attachment=50715:4a.jpg] I will get back to you with nut width etc as i will have to take some measurements. Can anyone please tell me what a " B " Profile means in terms of shape , feel etc ( or any of the other profile letters ) with refrence to Fender Jazz Bass guitar neck between the years of 1970 to 1975 Any info gratefully recieved Many thanks Chris
