I thought that Ernie Ball had a patent on the 3+1 MM Headstock? Are there any other mass produced basses out there, other than EBMM, using the 3+1?

Without measuring, I’d say that looks to be the size of EMG DC40‘s. Add a solderless EMG Preamp (BTC or BQS) and you’d be good to go. Definitely measure first.
