I can get pretty close to my Energy sound but the EQ on this beats the Energy by miles! The pups are so powerful that they start distorting at 2 on the gain - in contrast my Energy started distorting at 4.5!

    A modern day Ibanez or Squier is just as good as any professional instrument in the hands of a good bass player. It may be a case of bad sound = bad bass player...
