Go secondhand! I got my Bergantino cab secondhand in excellent condition and knocks the socks off any other 2x10 I've played (so far).

I've got a Sledgehammer and it's a great bass - enjoy.

Mind, (old) Peavey cabs weigh half a ton. I'd go for the Peavey Tour 450. I have one and it's a very good head. Out the cabs listed I would go for the Hartke VX's.

At least we can all move on now. Hopefully.

That's odd...maybe they've discontinued it because a lot of sites don't sell them anymore and / or upped the price.

Hey, I've played both and own the Tour 450. They are both great heads, but if you want a more dirty valve tone, go for the Hartke but if you are looking for a more clean sound go for the Tour. It's hard to describe each head - just go and play 'em! I've had my Tour 450 since April and it hasn't put a foot wrong - I'm very happy with it.

350w at 8 ohms according to the manual.

Does anyone have an idea how much the LH500 gives into 8 ohms?

I just got an e-mail from Ashdown too saying the heads will be in stores mid-November and they are very confident they will see they see the heads within weeks. I asked about sorting out the problems the Superfly had and if they would be fixed for this head, yet the guy completely ignored my question about reliability - uh oh.
