Total Watts

  1. I think the Acorn Amps “Epstein didn’t kill himself fuzz” trumps them all. See what i did there? 😁 🤦
  2. Sorry mate I missed this! So I have it set up a few different ways and I’m kinda experimenting to see what I like. If I’m using a cab I use an active cab, so Anagram is comp/fx and I use noble and/or harmonic booster for tone rather than amp sim, that then runs into the Nordstrand Starlifter which goes into the powered cab. However mostly I’m ampless, I can either run the above setup to foh, or instead of the noble/harmonic booster combo I use an amp/cab sim, but again it’s into the Starlifter and out to FOH. I think the Amp sims are really easy to use, the sound excellent - Peggy Bass, Leo Bass, Markbass and Swirl is likely my order of preference - I’m not huge on dirt, or at least not in my base tone, so I run them pretty clean - if I want dirt I use either a NAM capture, Atomic sans or Vintage microtubes. Amp/Cab sim into another preamp probably isn’t how it’s meant to be done but it sounds excellent - I find cab sims a bit too much sometimes and it kinda works to clean them up a bit, the Starlifter adds some magic to it. Honestly I find I don’t tweak the amp sims all that much - cut a bit of bass here, add a bit of mids there that’s about it. Also if you want a more dirty/vintage amp with some gan the “Horror Bass” is excellent. It is basically what I wanted and expected the Stomp to be - less fx but more than enough for me
  3. These are absolutely great compressors, especially with the toneprint! Much, much more to them than the layout would suggest
  4. This is what I’m down to now and couldn’t be happier with it, Starlifter is immense and the Anagram does everything I could ask for really, only took me a net loss of about £2k buying selling pedals to arrive here 😁
  5. That’s an absolute giveaway for one of these! Cracking basses too, they sound so good on stage through big speakers hitting the low B…! 🤯 🔥
  6. Well I wondered this, but then on the Octamizer youtube video I saw a comment saying “why would you make this a digital pedal?” Or something along those lines? So no I think it correct - looks like they might be digital. I’m honestly not too bothered as long as it sounds good, however I know it’ll definitely be a dealbreaker for a lot of people
  7. Would these fit in a standard Fender jazz do you know? Cheers
  8. Form factor Is going to be off putting for some I think, I love the current Octamizer and the new sounds on the down filter sound excellent, never use an octave up tho. Compressor looks good - the metering looks a really great addition, I’m not quite sure what to make of the EQ, I think with a passive bass it’d probably work really well
  9. It’s a lovely preamp but I wouldn’t say it has a “tubey” sound at all? It’s very hifi IME
  10. Great aren’t they! I wanted to stick them on my 4st passive Fender Jazz but they’re too long unfortunately - I’ll be getting some again no doubt!
  11. You’re right - I should have asked for more, it’s sold already 🤣
  12. Shift Line Olympic MkIIIs boutique Tube preamp/DI/cab sim - one of the best tube preamps available. It sounds absolutely phenomenal, can do a very nice fat clean sound with the gain at about 8 o’clock through to any amount of dirt you need and it always sound amazing in way that you only get with a Tube - perfect for anyone using IEM’s going to FOH Info here: https://shift-line.com/olympic I assume if you’re looking at this you’ll either know what it is or you’ll go and have a look online, but this is the latest Mk3s version, so it can take an SD card and you can change the cab sims etc. This pedal is brand new and un-gigged and has only been used by me for half an hour on the day it arrived. I bought it from @tayste_2000 who got it as a warranty replacement from Shift Line, so it was absolutely brand new, I bought it and played it for 20-30 mins, however I then bought an Anagram. I thought I’d maybe have an analogue and a digital board, but it’s not going to happen, and isn’t necessary really. So I can’t say the pedal is “unused” but it’s as good as - I’ve tested it, then it’s gone back in the box Sounds like this👇🤘 Comes boxed with the leaflets that Shift Line send, price includes DPD Next Day Delivery (as you get a 1 hour time slot for delivery) £325 inc NDD Shipping! Not really looking for trades, but...! I am after a Nordstrand Starlifter preamp/DI (if you have one of these for sale anyway let me know) so I’d take one of those + CMW. I’m also after a P Bass (Fender/FSO - Lakland Skyline, G&L etc, maybe even a Sire) so depending on what it is I could add some money or vice versca, but we’ll see - I’d rather sell it and sort a PB out later on, but whatever - no harm in messaging me
  13. 5 String Set of La Bella White Nylon Tapewound strings. Extra Long Scale so fit a 35” scale or a string through body. 60/70/94/115/135 Tapered B string, which makes a big difference on the quality of the sound you get from the B string, especially with Tapes. Bought on here for £45 as barely used, I put them on a bass and played them for maybe 40 mins and ended up selling the bass so they came off, only have 1 x 35” scale bass now and that’s got rounds on so they’re just in my string box - too good (and expensive!) to just sit doing nowt, and I’m after some flats for something else so I’ll sell them. They cost £52-£80 a set depending on where you go, too much to take a punt on and see if you like them, so I’ll make them cheap enough to give em a whirl! £28 Posted Cool video (not sure about the headband tho) of someone with a set on a P7 👇
  14. TC Electronic RH450 class D amp head. 450w with FX loop, built in Spectracomp compressor & tubetone adjustable tube amp drive, 4 band EQ & 3 programmable EQ presets. Comes with a padded TC Electronic amp bag - absolutely fantastic amp, very loud (450w RMS, 800w peak) Bulletproof outer casing, carry handle, DI - anything you could need from an amp as a gigging bassist tbf The only issue is the same issue everyone has with these - the knobs have fallen off the stalks. Still all works as it should, and you can turn the stalks just as easily as the knobs, and as its digital display you can always see where it is turned to - been like this since I bought the amp and it’s never bothered me so I didn’t replace them. The missing knobs factored into the price, other than that it’s an amazing amp (especially for the money) that’ll do almost all but the biggest gigs. £140 collected from DH2 Co Durham or £150 posted
