okay...i no longer play five string bass so up for sale is my mlp signature no.4...as used by tamas barabas. Spec is as follows: 34" alder body ash block and a layer of walnut...spalted birch top..7 piece maple neck..with macassar ebony fretboard. blue side leds Aguilar j pickups haussel mm pickup aguilar obp3 preamp vol/push pull active passive...blend.. bass..mid/push pull freq adjuster...and treble passive tone control.. switches for led's and pickups i believe. hipshot tuners and bridge. So a lot of bass that plays like butter sounds amazing..i play in a loud rock band this cuts right thru.. for not a lot of money...i bought this second hand for £1800.. Bass comes with hardcase. I live in sidcup kent (just) Delivery costs to be covered by buyer.

"About all the bass amps on the market use the same power amp from different manufacturers, which are not specificically designed for bass." Is he allowed to say that...

thanks walbassist for the link... funny i remember when LM3's were all the rage.. (said with thumb firmly in cheek) just wondered why markbass have taken so long to bring out a 1000w version.

Thinking of getting the body sprayed Arctic white... With a white perloid.. pickguard.. When funds become available... Have always liked white basses... Think it would look pretty good. Thanks to all for comments..

Just bought this geddy jazz thought I would go all jaco.. and remove the pickguard. Can anyone tell me what that great big round hole is... I thought the bodies had no other routing... Also my pick guard has 10 holes and not 11 like a lot of them... One extra hole is usually in front of the front pickup..and on the back is a serial number?. Any thoughts advice would b appreciated.

Here is my j retro deluxe... which I bought from John east 2 years ago... I had it in my jazz for a short while but it was removed by the bass gallery when I replaced that bass. I believe this was the first one made with black control knobs after I asked John for them... He thought they looked really cool and decided to give people that option as well as chrome. Not looking for trades straight sale only please.
