  1. Hey all, been talking to a couple of people about the new trace stuff and i think it's time for me to get a different head. so heres my AH500-7, as i realised i prefer the old trace stuff to the new and this just isn't for me so just looking if theres anything i would like to trade for so pm or reply with trade offers (heads only please or maybe a combo) would be interested in a older TE combo. preshape circuit. 7-band classic graphic equalizer. compressor with self-adjusting program dependant attack/release times. series effects loop. output mute switch, active on all outputs except tuner out. electronically balanced xlr di outputs for pre and post preamp. mosfet technology 500 watts (4 ohms) output stage. footswitch allowing control of preshape, graphic eq, compressor and output mute. original classy black ‘pimple' covering. metal handles and protective corners. dimensions (hxwxd): 19.3'' (491mm) x 6.2'' (157mm) x 13.2'' (335mm) weight: 33lbs (15kg) [attachment=36817:22112009041.jpg] [attachment=36833:22112009042.jpg] [attachment=36816:22112009040.jpg] [attachment=36815:22112009039.jpg] Sorry about the bad quality pictures i used my phone as i couldn't find the digital camera.
  2. It seems the new trace heads are letting the cabs down then, time for me to get rid of mine and get something that compliments them.
  3. It says it's sold underneath D: lol would be hardwork playing that aswell for me, seems i never played a fretless before thats why i would prefer fretlines. and yeh ill do that bump every other day righto, gonna add some more pictures aswell.
  4. Yeh the cabs aren't to bad, thats why im thinking maybe if i changed the head it would sound alot better.
  5. Aha good idea, new to the whole forum thing so didn't think of that. Thanks. =)
  6. Hmm couple of offers, but mainly straight sale ones so far.
  7. Yeh same happend to me, after having a old 715 combo which i damaged the speaker at band practice i decided to get one of the newer stacks which i seen at Music Live in Birmingham and for the amount i paid (£1400) i thought the sound really sucked compared to the 715 which i bought for £150. Yet i still see Doug Wimbish using there stuff.
  8. yeh i changed it now because to be honest i wouldn't mind getting anything thats different as long as its along the same value/quality, i thought it was awesome when i first got it and it still is just it's not the sound for me now.
  9. lol i was never to good with punctuation, i think ill hafto have that bag of commas and full stops. Anyone interested yet ?

  12. Hey all glad to meet fellow bass players from the UK =) I play a 1998/1999 USA Fender Hot Rodded P-Bass and have a Trace Elliot AH500-7 head, 2x10 1028H and 1518C Ive been playing bass for the passed 5 years or so except on an off over the passed year because i moved house but really starting to get back into it since recently joining a band. I like alot of music from fusion to melodic death metal so it's hard to explain the stuff i really like playing, Im in a punk band now the covers we play aren't really the stuff i listen to at home but im just happy to be in a band with friends. Hopefully ill meet some new friends on here and can't wait to talk to people on the same wave length about Bass. Thanks for Reading. Callum
