Long time lurker - thanks for great info on the site! Playing for forty years since early teens: covers bands, friends etc. Gaps for job, kids. Used to be proud that I had never had a music lesson, but wanted to play jazz and started learning some theory 3 years ago and wish I had in the 80s! Short scale convert (first position walking bass ache....). Playing blues, bossa, jazz atm. Will take the string bass plunge one day.... Ray Brown, La Faro, Jamerson, Sklaar, Rainey, Victor Wooten
