  1. I have my Chowny SWB1 for sale. It's in extremely good condition and it currently has roundwound strings. I'm also listing it on eBay with a 10 day period. Starting price is £300. Any questions please ask.
  2. Hello I'm selling this bass because I've decided to go shortscale. I bought it two years ago, secondhand as I'd bought the SR370E and I fancied a go at fretless. Since then I've had it professionally set up by Tom Cundall (Tom Cundall's Guitar Shed) with flatwound strings (can't remember what brand). The neck is D shaped, very slim and fast. It's a joy to play and is in excellent condition. I'd prefer collection, and I could meet up, within reason. Thanks Martin

  4. Apologies for the delay but about two months ago I visited Richard to buy his Sire U5 bass plus case. He lives in a lovely old, country house and he invited me in to try the bass. Communication was excellent and the whole experience a breeze! Thanks Richard
  5. Apologies for the delay in responding. The answer is my small hands. Yes I can jump from 1st to 4th fret but I wanted to try shortscale. I bought a Chowny SWB-1 & a Sire U5. Neither are perfect but I've decided to stick with the Sire.
  6. I live quite close to The Swan in West Wickham, a pub with live music you may know. Thanks for the advice. Apologies for the late reply.
  7. Wow a dozen! Thanks for the welcome.
  8. Hello. Apologies for the delay in replying. Not quite - the E is blue and the EF a type of sunburst. I'm hoping to list them shortly. Cheers
  9. Thanks for the welcome. Sorry for the delay in replying.
  10. I travelled to Richard's home near Brighton to inspect the Sire U5 he was selling. The experience went smoothly and I am very happy with my new bass.
  11. Thank you! My first reply!
  12. Hello, I'm new to Basschat despite purchasing my first shortscale bass recently via Basschat. It is a Sire U5. I've also bought a Chowny SWB1 (both secondhand) with the intention of seeing which one I prefer. The idea is to move to shortscale and sell my longscale basses through Basschat which are - Sterling Sub by Musicman Ray 4 Ibanez SR600E Ibanez SR370E Ibanez SR370EF (Fretless) If you're interested, please let me know. Thanks Martin
