What on earth is that fretboard wood? Not sure if I'm keen on that! A nice pale maple would be gorgeous IMO!
Ebony !!
 3.
What actually makes a keeper is an emotional attachment. Instead people use keeper as a adjective for a bass that is technically good.
Excellently put sir !!
 4. Never found two of the same model that are the same, no logic in that just the way it is, two exact same basses an can be worlds apart. Out of my two Stingrays, the one Ive had from new (the only bass/guitar Ive ever had from new) an the other was pretty beat up when i got it, no plains to sell either, cant think of a reason why id want to have to sell them, lived on 9p noodles to get them an will do it again if ever get that broke. But saying that, i have in the past brought basses/guitars that were the "The one to rule everything", only not to bond with them an move them on to a more deserving home. (think thats just getting GAS out of your system, gotta have a ........ only to find out its not for you) What ever though, "Its all good fun "
 5.
I don't suppose you've been able to compare these to Elixirs have you?
Yeah, Ive been using the EB COATED for nearly 2yrs now an swear by them,(not just saying that cause trying to sell a couple of sets) Compared to Elixirs they don't feel as slippery/greasy to the touch as the elixirs, but you can still tell they are coated. Starting another post as i have another set that I'm wanting to sell if you interested in trying a 4 set.
 6. As it says, Electroharmonix Octave multiplexer. Mint condition would pass as being new ! Its on Ebay For £45 + £5 PP, Will sell for £45 flat on here if anybody interested

 9. [s]Ive got a brand new, unopened, set of "Ernie Ball COATED" bass strings, Five string set gaged, 130-100-80-65-45 Brought them an not going to be needing them any time soon so thought id have an ask an see if anybody wants them cheep rather than them just sitting on my shelf, or waste them by breaking them down into a four string set, similar sets are going on ebay for £36+pp see here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ernie-Ball-Coated-Re...=item2c5193289d So what i was thinking was a flat £30 including postage as a paypll gift, UK sale only please[/s] SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________ [s]Got a another set that I'm not going to be using if anybody is interested, There the Super Slinky gage, 100-80-65-45 Coated. Here is the cheapest set of them i could find on ebay £29.99 + P&P http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ERNIE-BALL-COATED-SU...=item5641a51a5f Only reason I'm wanting to sell is i use the Regular gage on my one Stingray (105-85-70-50) an the supers as listed on the other, Ive made a conscious decision to stick to one gage of Hybrids (met myself in the middle lol) on both of them so wont be needing them. I'm asking a £25 all in posted to you.[/s]
 10. I use a "Marshall ecohead" when I'm using delay, there pretty good value for the money with (i think its 6 mabey 7) different types of delay on them including a ere reverse kind of effect, plus you can add a tap tempo to it, You can usually pick them up pretty cheaply on ebay used. (there really not that much new either, lot of effect for your money). But sorry no personal experience with the TC Flashback delay/looper to comment.
 11. Hold out for a used MMSR, you should be able to pick one up for around £600 or less even an wont lose anything on it if you decide to sell it .
 12.
you can't beat a nice shiny bit of chrome or the cool patina that builds up on nickel-plated.
Will second that, Ive got a Sigma SDR-41 acoustic, that has gold tuners on it, Ive had the guitar about 10yrs now, they suite the guitar well (only guitar that i have ever owned with gold an the last) its starting to look cheep now with it rubbing off, dulling etc so i say NO as well, especially as it wont match the rest of the bass ! But saying that gold does look good on somethings. At the end of the day its your bass but if the tuners that are on it now are causing you tuning issues then just upgrade.
