Last months "bass guitar magazine" (november issue) www.bassguitarmagazine.com had couple of pages about Sir Horace an the specials, an his sound, could be worth checking it out if you havent already seen it.

As far as colour, in my oppinion the bongo will carry any colour off and ware it well, an a 4HH will take some beating , want one

Maybe there's somebody out there who'd want to swap a chrome for a black chrome D tuner.[/quote] I did originaly order a chrome but an black one turnd up an kind of like the look of it, just the disadvantage of the straight post is its slightly fiddlt changing strings, have to make sure that the string is pushed al the way to the bottom of the post in order to get a nice angle on it the back of the nut (its almost like its to long or the slot isnt deep enough), ive tryed swapping the posts over but but thay dont fit. (ant thank Mr Foxen for the offer)

have you seen the warwick "vampyre sn" or "vampyre dark loard" ? thay come set up tuned B-E-A-D an F#-B-E-A with stupidly heavy gauge strings, bit extreem but worth a look

Recently fitted a hipshot D tuner to my stingray and am very pleased with it, to only problem (part of it that i dont like) is the post, its straight rather than tapered , ive tryed mixing an matching the parts from the original tuner but the fitting it to short, ive heard that tapered posts are avalible from hipshot but havent any luck finding one as yet. just asking if anybody else has found the same thing, and general coments/tips for them that others have found and just the general opinion of them very welcome, Dan.

Brought this off eBay for £15,(dont think there much more than that new), no-name brand but works a treat no his or hum, powers upto 10 9v pedals, the leads that come with it are boss style but variations are avalible (like the headphone style power found on old DODs etc)

Made mine from mdf an cable ties, realy not that difficult, for just a "board" an thats all it realy is you can custom make it it to exactly how you want it , drill a couple of holes eith side of the pedal an hold it down with a cable tie (holds it better than velcro an doesnt mark the pedal in anyway), cover the board in carpet tape (looks better than bare wood an helps with grip), looked at loads of boards like pedaltrain etc an cant justify the cost for what thay are, (the post above looks even easyer, no drilling needed) good luck an all the best Dan.

Have to agree with above, there reasonably priced NEW! , sound great and built to last, an can get a wide range of chorus out of them, from very light to heavy 80s warbl

Ive heard of players using very heavy gauge strings to acheive drop C to the extreem of 135-65. One trick is to buy a set of 5 strings and use the top 4 to get them heavyer than heavy!! (providing we are talking about a 4 string), but as far as i no "warwick" do drop tune sets in rediculsly heavy gauges 175-85 !! but can imagen that there are other brands out there, not that ive seen them or been looking for them so ... as i said not my thing but thats one way that ive heard.

Just having an ask to see what kind of order(s) that people use and find effective., i gave up using effects a few years ago prefering just the natural amp-guitar but .... there back out an im having lots of fun experimenting with them, moving them around etc.. the order that ive personaly found to be the most effective is from the guitar [u][/u]Tuner - (Boss TU-2). [u][/u]Compressor - (Marshall Edward ED-3). [u][/u]Overdrive - (Boss ODB-3). [u][/u]Delay - (Marshall EH-1). [u][/u]Octave Devider - (Electro Harmonics Octave Multiplexer) [u][/u]Chorus - (Boss CEB-3) [u][/u]Envelope Filter - (Ashdown) ive got them all on a homemade board powered by a 10-way power adaptor (of a no name brand that i found on eBay for £15 an does the job brilliatly). The only pedal that im not happy with is the compressor (marshall edward....) (im that happy with it that its no longer on the board), so what do others think ? there seems to be a lot of reviews out there of right an wrongs but at the end of the day im thinking that its down to personal tase/sound, after all one persons noise is anothers perfection!! So any advances on that order greatfully appreceated.

Did a de-fretting job on an Aria that i brought at a cheep price for the purpose of defretting it, wasnt a to bad a job to do, just removed the frets an filled the gaps with resin and sanded it all flush, re cut the nut an (not in the picture) restrung it with a set of flat wounds , it sounds and plays great.
