1. I've learnt take the power back, im going for killing in the name
2. looks like I'll learn take the power back for now, and maybe some more later
3. I've been listening to a bit of Rage Against the Machine, and I fancy learning some of their basslines. But I don't know their stuff well so I don't really know which are their best songs to play on bass. So, what are your favourite songs to play by Rage Against the Machine? By the way I already know bombtrack.
4. I've always been happy with my ashdown rig, so +1 to the decent bit of kit list
5. I often see on the ebay link section people talking about this is a scam, that is a scam. But half of these I wouldn't have been able to tell it was a scam, and it isn't always that obvious. So I think we should make a list of things to look out for when buying a bass to check if it is some sort of scam.

Budget Pron.

i love that aerodyne, especially in that colour
7. would that be based on the bassist for alien ant farm's signature bass? the one fender used to make? just wondering becuase its similar, its cool anyway.
8. well, its too late. hes done it. hes going to try and bring it to my bass lesson on wednesday, ill try and take my phone to get a picture.
9. i should add a poll to this, see what you think... in percentage form
10. i hate it when people talk about GASing for amps. I mean, i understand when you need a new amp for whatever reason, but GASing for one? they all seem pretty much the same to me. obviously i realise some are better than others, make clearer sounds, deeper sounds, brighter sounds or whatever, but quite frankly i have never felt GAS for an amp.
11. my bass teacher's just got this new stingray 5 in black, the model with the piezo. What he told me the other day made my jaw drop, I can't believe it. He planning on refinishing it (by hand, hes not even getting it done professionally) as follows: 1) Spray over black in red 2) Spray over red in blue 3) Spray over blue in white 4) Spray over white in flourescent yellow 5) Attack with sander, bringing all of the different colours through in splodges Now, do I kill him before he gets the chance? *i just want to add, i don't really plan on killing him. i dont want the cops coming round.
12. what do you think of the wizard thumper. i play punk music and im not sure between a wizard thumper and a seymour duncan pickup?
13. i put stick with the aged, but what i really meant was that they seem a pretty different colour to me, and the woods look like they have a different sort of flame about them. whatever you do dont spray it black, leave it natural if your gonna strip it.
14. when you say forearm, do you mean the lower forearm/just above the wrist sort of area? i always get a pain there when doing three fingers, especially when doing it fast, so i just use two as fast as possible, and if i cant do it that fast i use a pick.

Ibanez SR900

NOT A JAZZ!!! a jazz (a standard fender, anyway) isn't in the same league as the warwicks or the ibanez. the sound on the corvette $$ is huge, as Simon1964 said, but i find its not so good for slap bass as the pickups get in the way. i haven't played a fender active jazz, but it cant be any better (i cant imagine it being as good) than either the ibanez or the warwick. also jazz basses just get boring... get something different!
16. the japanese one is brilliant. my dad owns one and it is a great bass, i'd highly reccomend it. i havent played the highway 1.
17. i'd get it if you didn't have to pay too much extra, after all, it saves tuning up, replacing lost tuners, limiting yourself when writing songs that the guitar is in drop d because you cant be bothered to detune.... but it seems pretty pointless to pay an extra £900 just to tune up. After all, as Jean-Luc said, it only costs £15 to buy a tuner.
18.
I like it Would appeal more though if it had decent forearm contours and a pair of HB's on,perhaps sprayed white or surf green.
+1 (except the humbuckers (or at least i think HBs means humbuckers), P/J all the way!)
19. i like the black, but if anything id agree with wateroftyne and go for an off white

Ibanez SR900
It is a great bass, I would choose one over a US fender everytime, on build quality and ease of play. I do however prefer the SR500 range, which have the same hardware & 'tronics, but with a bolt-on wenge bubinga neck, mmm...
yeah, i prefer the SR500. i love the wenge bubinga neck and mahogany body, which just seems more right to me. i think they look better, as well. you can see mine in my avatar
21. ^^^ what steve said
22. 2 words: dean sledgehammer
23. i like the look of that encore starter kit. its a p copy so its just standard and simple, it costs less than the yamaha and comes with all sorts.
24. yeah, it was The Only Ones. Blink 182 did a cover later but it wasn't as good.
25.
Yes it does, and it looks great!
i know it looks great, its really nice. one question, why take the BADASS off?
