nice colour wall. i never really liked bc riches, but these are really cool. the mockingbird on the right is lovely, as is the one youve got two of (if that makes sense).
3.
Some people have commented on the white pickup covers not really fitting the bass. But i have an appreication for the 80's
i agree, they dont really fit. but my opinion doesn't matter, if you like them, thats all that matters. other than that one hell of a cool bass youve got there!
4. very nice. a real 70's precision in white with a black pickguard and reliced... i want one.
5. yeah, i prefer the fender mike dirnt to the squier any day. i don't like graphics on basses, it makes them look tacky.
6. fall out boy bassist
7. i quite like the way it looks...
8. well, i bought this and I've replaced the neck with a mexican fender precision neck and put a BADASS II on. I'm going to get a P/J set of either Basslines Quarter Pounders or Di Marzios. Any opinions on either of these are appreciated
9.
Anyone who has a signature bass is not underrated in my book.
a hell of a lot of people have said JJ Burnell, he has a signature.
10. flea in his newer stuff. i still hink hes a good bass player, but i just find some of his basslines (scar tissue for example) BORING! also, (dont burn me for this) i used to think mark hoppus was great.
11. bet the shuker course costs a lot, though.
12. I've heard people say they want to start playing bass because of Pete Wentz. I don't understand how hes different to any of the othe bassists that play roots all day long.

Heres mine and my dad's (simon1964) fender basses. From left to right we have: a MIJ 70s reissue precision with EMGs and a BADASS a MIA jazz with S1 switch a Squier Black and Chrome Precision with a MIM precision neck and a BADASS a Squier Jazz with active preamp and bartolinis (currently for sale) a MIM fretless precision with Gotoh Brigde and Basslines Quarter Pounders. this was originally fretted but my dad fitted a Mighty Mite fretless neck to it. this is my brand new Squier Black and Chrome Precision I bought earlier today. It came with a Jazz bass neck and the first thing I did was put a Mexican Precision neck that we took off the fretless. I then put a BADASS bridge on. It sounds good, especially for a Squier, and plays well. It also looks COOL! I'm deciding whether to put Di Marzios or Basslines in to this, so anyones opinion on these pickups would be appreciated.
15. I've not heard the dirnt plugged in but it feels really nice to play. i just don't like the star on it. also I'm a teenager and I don't like Pete Wentze
16. i'm in love with that candy apple red one, its so nice looking. love it with the ashtrays.
17. no one want this? its a great bass. its going to go on ebay soon if no body wants it.
18.
Basically, you know how the wood inbetween frets is flat on a normal fretboard? On a scalloped one it isn't, they make a shallow U shape in the fretboard between the frets, allows for better bending and other techniques. Yngwie Malmsteen is problably the most famous user of them (he's a guitarist, a bloody good one though), but Sheehan likes them on the top few frets for some reason. Google for images of scalloped frets or Yngwie's Start/Sheehan's Attitude and you'll understand.
yeah, just googled it. i see what it is, but i cant imagine it being anymore comfortable. EDIT: by the way, SJA, is there an attitude four string with a PJ config? dont they normally just have a P?
19. i saw duff with his new signature model at a signing at the NEC, but thats all. looks cool on the fender site, though.
20. I've decided to sell my Squier Jazz. Its been upgraded with Bartolinis, and an active pre-amp. The pre-amp was fitted before I bought it, and I don't know the make. The Barts and Badass give a fantastic sound, and are almost worth the asking price on their own! There is one tiny ding under the bridge, but otherwise there are no marks or scratches. I'm looking for £200 + postage. For more pictures or an offer please PM me.
21. did you buy the ripper you were inquiering about? how much was it? i'm looking for a ripper atm.
22. what are scalloped frets?
23. bongos are ugly!!!!!! go for a stingray, i'd say. (but i've never played a sterling)
24.
Advise caution with the Precision Lyte - I found it Lyte on sound. Wot I said in your OP - Aerodyne.
im not fond of the aerodyne. what do you mean by lyte on sound? and does that also applie to the precision special?
25. true, i hadn't thought of any of that, as i said, just basic details.
