1.
I have an Encore Precision in white. Good guitar, the nut has gone walkabout and the electrics could do with a re-solder, but it's a good project for someone. See a good picture here. The knobs and everything are pretty good and it should be a useful guitar if you need one. I'm getting rid of tons of stuff, so check out the other stuff I have for sale. This is for sale at £35. Cheers, L
That looks like one of the better early Indian built ones with the solid ash body, looks like the one I've got (the special edition they did in a kind of pearlescent white). I've changed the pickups to EMG's & it sounds fantastic!! Sooo heavy though, my back aches after a long gig. I bought mine new around 1992/93.
It's a nice bass, might be up for trading for a smallish combo
Hi, Really interested in the bass - you say you may be interested in a trade for a smallish combo, what about a straight exchange for an Ashdown Mini rig? It's a 65 Watt head with two mini cabs with 10" speakers so very light & easy to transport & has a very good sound. The beauty of it is that it can be used in small rooms (house etc.) also so it's quite versatile - for bigger gigs you could mike it up & put it through the PA as I have done a couple of times. It's in very good condition - if you're interested heres a link to it on the Ashdown site: http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=144 If you do want to trade I would consider delivering/collecting to avoid posting depending on where you are based Let me know Steve
 3. Just found this forum & thought I'd add a list of some of the basses I've owned. I've been playing for 35 years now on & off. I started as a guitarist but wasn't very good at playing chords. Life changed when I walked into the local music shop & spotted a big black bass on the wall!! It turned out to be a Columbus Grabber copy (& was pretty awful I discovered afterwards but as I'd never even touched a bass I didn't know any different). It was fitted with black strings which totally sold it to me. And so began my dalliance with the dark side....... Following this in as near chronological order as I can remember: 1972 Gibson EB3 1975 No Name Jap Jazz copy* Hohner Steinberger headless copy 1987 Aria SB1000 Early 90's Encore Precision copy* (Solid Ash body + EMG's) 80's Jap Squier Precision Jap Fender Jazz 1975 re-issue Vester 5 string Early 90's Dean 5 string* Late 90's Epiphone EB0 1989 Signature Jazz Bass Export model (home built using NOS Signature body & neck from the States) Early 70's Jap Kasuga EB3 copy 2007 Adam Black Titan prototype 2007 Swift Fretless Electro Acoustic* 2008 Acepro Electro Acoustic 2009 Dean EVO XM short scale* 2007 Wesley (not sure which model but has Prec/Jazz configuration)* *= still owned Think there are probably others I've forgotten!! - I'm barred from entering music shops unless accompanied by my better half (doesn't stop me though - I just buy off Ebay haha)
