Total Watts

  1. three chords, wife gone & a dead dog.
  2. I think he works at the same place in Ukraine as this lass: https://www.youtube.com/@TanyaShpachuk
  3. this may have been the case when the neck was made, but if you fully slacken off the truss rod any time afterwards, then it may have picked up a bow one way or the other. the idea of the notched straightedges is that you get the fingerboard straight by adjusting the truss rod & only then level the frets. if you try to level the frets without the wood straight then you'll end up grinding down the frets either in the middle or at the two ends unnecessarily & probably introduce other issues.
  4. are they white and gold or blue and black? either way, they're foul. & wtf is going on with that Tele scratchplate?
  5. Justin Ostrander - Nashville session guitarist (& occasionally bassist) - https://www.youtube.com/@JustinOstrander Doug Helvering - classical composer reacts to contemporary music - https://www.youtube.com/@Doug.Helvering MeganL - guitar pedals with some nice graphic design - https://www.youtube.com/@MeganL
  6. really enjoyed that - a lot of the tunes of my youth, and, to be fair, my present too. the "goffolk" crossover works very well.

  9. Aus/NZ call it "Tall Poppy Syndrome": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tall_poppy_syndrome
  10. I just bought two pedals from @Schlippy - they arrived promptly, well packaged & do what it says on the tin. many thanks Ralph 👍

    New EHX pedal

My neighbour knocked on my door at 2:30am...Can you believe that, 2:30am!? Fortunately I was still up playing my bagpipes
  12. if the body's not flat-topped - making the saddles considerably higher than the body end of the fretboard - then the pocket will be routed sloped slightly backwards to compensate. standard practise on Les Pauls & similar (glued-in neck on LPs of course, but you get the idea).
