6. Hi Stuart, sorry for the delay. The serial is - 228803 a few quick snaps for you showing the fretlines - The blemishes with the fret lines look like tiny paint runs? but its playing amazingly, hands down the best fretless I have played . . Beats the Fender Jaco Custom I owned. Cheers, Chris
7. Just got this a couple of weeks back & it's on the move already! I have the chance of getting a custom UBass I am going to go for. Amazing little bass, I doubt the custom u basses will sound better than this. The low B sounds fat, it still amazes me how low this wee bass can go and sound fantastic! Only played it twice since getting it, so it's near mint. Comes with Kala gigbag & original black strings. Cost me over £400 by the time I payed the import duty + new thundergut strings! £330 posted in the UK! Cheers, C. 9. Bought this from Beedster on the forum not to long ago, but I have acquired something else equality as lovely & fretless so this one is leaving! Visually stunning, great playing, and great sounding late 80's/early 90's Tokai Jazzsound fretless Jazz! (Edit - it's a 1984 model). Upgraded with Fender USA pickups + a new custom wired harness (CTS premium full fat pots, switchcraft Jack & .047 poly drop cap) from the amazing hand of KiOgon. Defret job years ago, couple of messy fret lines. Neck feels and plays amazing! Amazing bass! One for the Jaco nuts! £350 including UK shipping! No trades please cash is king! 10.
Hmmm, could I please have dimensions and weight, please Chris? This actually may be a pretty good opportunity as I'm not entirely convinced by my TKS cabs...
I will get the measurements for you today mate, I is the smallest 2x15 I have ever came across . . Only slightly bigger than the BF compact. It does however weigh a good wee bit, still one hand manageable though.
11.
Pm
Replied. Forgot to add . . . Price includes UK delivery!
12. Pictures as requested through PM - The front speaker can actually sit flush as shown in the picture, but the screw holes don't line up. I still think the best fix is to prop the speaker up on a couple of pieces of wood lifting it a few mm.
13. Back for sale - £250
14. I saw them . . Didn't take my fancy! Bass sounded great tonight, defo a better sound then the previous SUB models I have owned . . Don't know if the preamp etc had changed? The low B sounds great, think this one is a keeper.
15. Postman arrived with this bad boy today! Changed the strings straight over to a set of Thunderguts . . Taking to my band practice this evening to start the string break in period! Lovely looking wee thing . . The wider neck feels a lot better the Kala basses I have owned! I will report back how I got on with it! 19. Hey guys, Bought this as a stop gap for a couple of gigs before I recieved my Kala 5 string SUB ukulele. This wee thing is amazing . . I gigged it twice and it performed great. I put it through a Dave Hall preamp + tuner . . Performed just as well as any Kala Uku I have owned previous. The lefty woodie Guthrie lettering is vinyl lettering which peel off no worries. I also removed the HB decal from the headstock because I didn't like it, it was silver and didn't suit the bass. I will include a Warwick Rock Classical guitar size gig bag which I used to transport it about. Great wee bag with plenty of pockets for leads etc. Looking for £60 + postage. Collection from Glasgow also an option.
