Three years old and been perfect, now buzzing , if i touch the strings or bridge it stops, been re soldered whats the next stage, is this common with sterlings, thanks

Just to be sure, will a sterling sit in a stringray case, as i have a sterling and want a hardcase ,but the one on offer was for a stringray.

loved trying to play the bass, now hooked but need be taken back down to reality, i enjoy my tanglewood, but not the jaguar ,or fender 200 amp, sugestions ?. thanks.
