  1. Exactly, it's a quality hand built instrument, if it had Smith etc on the headstock you could quadruple the price. Also comes with the Bass magazine with the article where this very instrument was reviewed, pictures of the magazine below
  2. Thanks Wright /Watt, it's a fine hand built instrument, well worth the asking price (but I would say that of course !)
  3. What a lovely instrument, if circumstances were different this would be mine. Good luck with the sale
  4. Rather surprised this hasn't gone yet given the poorer quality of the other alto saxes out there at this price..
  5. Here's my Fender TB600 amp purchased from this very forum back in 2021. It's hardly been used since it came to me, I played through it recently to make sure everything worked as it should with no faults, all checked out ok Pictured here on top of the Epifani UL115 which is also for sale on BC I paid £400.00 for it, yours now for £395.00 Quoted from the original listing, I couldn't say it any better; This was another jewel in the crown of Fender’s return to making decent bass amps. This one is based on the Fender Tube Bass preamp the TBP-1 paired to the same great power section found in the MB-1200 power amp and the 800Pro. This amp is ideal for the more roots/country/blues/rock tones. The pre amp is the classic Fender tube sound - a passive tone stack of BMT with passive mid cut only and bass and treble boost only. From memory it’s set at 40HZ-400Hz-4kHz with and additional semi-para eq with boost or cut. If you play a P bass this is the amp to play through. Classic Fender bass tones through and through. The amp also features a blendable drive section with gain and volume controls and a blend between the classic and drive channels. It can be set to get all manner of classic drive tones from low gain, edgy pick sound to full on grind. The semi-para EQ really allows you to set your bass in the mix or push the sound ro be upfront and heard. I used this amp in my country band and it was perfect - big classic passive tones which supported the band and never missed a beat. It has equally been at home on theatre gigs and can do a mean rock tone with some nice responsive break up when digging in. There’s a 4 button footswitch included which can engage the drive, the semi- para eq, the fx loop (which doubles as a boost) and has a tuner! There is also a room balance control which is a tilt style eq to fine tune the amp to the room - without a rework of the whole eq. Along with the 800Pro these were top of the line pro touring heads! Features Hybrid head: (tube preamp, solid state power amp) 1 channel with switchable drive and semi-parametric eq Tubes: 2 X 12AX7 Front panel controls: Vintage Tube Tone - Input -9dB pad switch, Mute, Volume, Bass w/Deep switch (pull to activate), Mid, Treble w/Bright switch (pull to activate) Tube Overdrive: (Enable/Disable Switch), Gain, and Volume Blend Vari-Q: (Enable/Disable Switch), Frequency, Level/Q, Room Balance, and Master Volume Rear panel controls: Balanced Line Output with Ground Lift, XLR Jack, Level, Pre/Post EQ Select Switch, FX Loop with Trim, +4dBu/-10dBv level switch, Send/Return jacks Effects: Fender passive tone stack, Tube Overdrive section, Vari-Q section, Room Balance, FX Loop/Boost
  6. Dear all Here's my Epifani UL115 purchased from this forum a few years ago. The search for series one Epifani cabs began at a BC meet after hearing a WT400 through an Epifani series one 4 x 10, for me it was the best sound at the meet and nailed the sound I'd been after for years, my roadworn precision sounded lush through the setup where other rigs just sounded tinny, without any depth or substance The series one cabs were Epifani's attempt at lightweight cabs, this one certainly is lighter than the size would suggest. The cab has a nice rounded sound without being wooly. The thing with this one .. the tweeter works, but it's stuck in one position. Other than that, everything is fine, overall the cab is in good condition, pictured here with my Orange Terror bass V2 which is also up for sale. The cab comes with a Roqsolid cover. Happy to provide more pictures or any other information I'm asking the £200.00 I paid for it Thanks for reading
  7. Hi all Here we have a lovely Orange Terror bass V2 for sale. I bought this amp a year ago, since then I've plugged it in once, other than that it's sat quietly at home. Here's the original listing It's condition is immaculate, as it was when it came to me. It comes with the case, leads and manual, pictured here with my Epifani UL115, which is also up for sale I'd like £400.00, which is a fair price for the condition and mileage Collection would be favourite if possible, I could post at buyer's risk Thanks all
  8. Yes indeed sir, wholly agree this is a bargain considering what it is and how it sits compared to some cheap saxes out there. I'm quite surprised this hasn't gone yet considering it's priced for less than some teenagers would spend down the pub on a Saturday night
  9. Ah ! top man. I searched for the original listing but couldn't find it, thanks for coming in here Ryan with confirmation of the body's history. Also good to know I remembered it correctly, the dementia hasn't got hold of me yet....
  10. Here we have a PJ set of Bartolini's that came off a bass a while ago. They've been languishing in my draw ever since, about time they went to a new home £80.00, shouldn't cost that much to post Thanks all
  11. Sorry for the delay in replying. The body was originally advertised as being an unpainted / unfitted blank, I can't remember the name of the maker. It doesn't come with a bridge Weight including fitments = 5.4lb Body thickness = 42.68mm or 1' 11/16" Depth of neck pocket from top = 14.44mm or 1' 11/16" Width of neck pocket = 63.38mm or 2' 1/2" Length of top rebate of pocket to end of straight edge = 96.62mm or 3' 51/64" Length of rebate of pocket to apex of neck circumference (the curve of end of neck) = 99.51mm or 3' 59/64"
  12. For the builders out there.. Here's a jazz body I bought from this parish some years ago, since it came to me I've been too busy to follow through and now it's now time to let it go I purchased it as a painted Alder body as seen here, it comes with the scratchplate, two pickup covers and all mounting screws as you see in the pictures. I'm keeping the straplocks now Now £85.00 collected (which is less than I paid for it), happy to discuss couriers Thanks all
  13. Can't find previous feedback for Jon, so I'll take the first leap Jon came up from Brighton on a very hot day to collect my Walkabout. We had a good chat about gear and discovered we both like our ACG's. He's good to meet and he certainly has some nice equipment, hope the next performance goes well Jon. I'd be very happy to deal with Jon again All the best buddy Tom
  14. For those among us who have wider musical tastes, here's my Alto Saxophone for sale. As much as an exotic bass gets the juices going, there's no denying a shiny saxophone is a damn sexy thing to behold This is certainly a great sax for a beginner, I would expect an intermediate player to use a more advanced instrument than this but as an introduction to the world of saxophones this is a fantastic instrument at a great price. I'm only selling it as a better alto sax has come my way, I only need one Alto sax ! It's a Cranes Alto Saxophone in very nice condition. There are a few tiny blemishes which I've tried to photo in the interests of full disclosure, there is also a small area of surface corrosion around the base of one post but it's certainly no cause for concern regarding stability, it's only visible with much closer inspection. If someone gave me this instrument as a present I certainly wouldn't be disappointed in any way by the blemishes as they don't detract from the overall extremely good condition, it presents very well indeed. Even the case is in extremely good condition. It comes with a used mouthpiece and ligature, the stand in the photos is not included I've found learning the saxophone to be a fascinating journey, it's refreshing to tread new ground and get out of the rut that comes along once in a while. As Jaco said, try learning the sax part, you never know where it will take you... It's £125.00, I won't be dropping the price as I honestly think it's worth more but I'd rather see it go sooner rather than later Prefer collection, but happy to discuss courier services Thanks all
  15. For all the builders out there... Here's a Mighty Mite Jazz neck. It's clean shaped wood that's been fretted, a finish has never been applied. There are no tool markings, the neck has never been fitted or used, it's essentially new as supplied by Mighty Mite Happy to discuss courier services if needed, but collection is the friendliest at the moment £85.00 collected - now sold
