1. aye, that be it just like that ! Thanks Discreet
2. Hi all, looking to fund a new amp, so a few things have to go A vicar in the next town retired from his band eariler this year and sold me this amp, making me the second owner (howsat for an opener). He had it paired with a 2x15 Peavey cab and it sounded HUGE. It's in very good condition (as you'd expect with that pedigree). It comes with an Ashdown cloth cover and is an easy one - handed carry. I'll put up some piccys as soon as possible. I'd be happy to meet local to London, or a bit further with some help for fuel £190.00
3. Thanks Clarky, I'm happy to pass on the good karma around this cab. It's a great cab, but a great amp calls, so it has to go !
4. Hi all, looking to fund an amp, so it's time to let a few things go Bought an EA Whizzy 12" from Clarky earlier this year. It's been used once for a living room practice since then and otherwise never left my house. I'd say it's in very good condition. I'll post a link to Clarky's thread once I can work out how, I'll sell it for £200.00 collected, which is the price I paid. I'm happy to deliver / meet local (ish) to London or a bit further with some help for petrol. I'll also be happy to arrange courier if required. Thanks all
5.
know what you mean.... My AAA rig gets heavier every time I upgrade it....to the point that my B rig is TF550-B and 2 Berg NEO 112's. And I don't think I'll get any thanks for saying this...but my A rig slaughters it. Not that I am saying the B rig sucks... far from it.
Please specify AAA rig !
6. Seriously, listen to a whole range of stuff before you spend. There's a crowd of BC'ers that have been in your position and spent a mortgage trying to get 'their' sound back after selling their heavy rig.
7. Just rediscovered this one after several decades. Now having a proper party playing along and no mistake ! what a tune
8. Guitarist in my current band says he often can't hear me. This is usually after he has turned up the PA and his amp to tinitus provocation levels. Doh.
9. Feel like the man finding the coca - cola bottle cap at the Egyptian burial site exploration........
10. Harks back to the days when a guitarist had to wallop seven bells out of his instrument to be heard, looks like pre - Les Paul era.
11. Visited Frank as we're more or less neighbours in BC terms. Had a cup and a chat and a good play of Frank's very nice P bass (which he won't sell). Good to meet our fellow BC'ers and swap stories I'd easily deal with Frank again Cheers Tom
12. My regular band plays at one of my work venues several times a year and colleagues come to watch, so known far and wide. Come to think of it, why not tell everyone ? aren't we all trying to get gigs left right and centre for our respective bands ? trying to increase our audience ?
13. Have a listen to 'Yes it is' for a bassline that doesn't do the usual stuff. Also +1 to 'Something'. Singing and playing the bass line to 'With a Little Help from my Friends' is good fun too. Come to think of it, part of the fun of McCartney's lines in general is the singing and playing at the same time, always makes me smile.
14. Well, it took a mo' for me to type while eating dinner ! MMmmm, cornish pastie nomnomnomnom, carrots nomnomnom, brocholli nomnomnomnom Where's my tea ?
15. Suddenly, I want to put together a 70's band Do the Strand ! Seven Seas of Rye Killer Queen Drive in Saturday Moonage Daydream Sylvia Crazy Horses + just about eveything else on this thread
16. There was another thread knocking about for ages on this topic. Always good for another go though
