  1. Welcome Rob, from another Essexite
  2. Dear all Here's my Wharfdale EVP 15M passive monitor, I'd say it's in good condition or better and more than worth the asking price of £35.00, it's only so cheap as I need it gone Much prefer collection please, but willing to discuss options Thanks all
  3. There was a time when I thought this day would never come, but hay ho, this is my Walkabout combo with the 12" speaker I bought this combo probably something like 8 -10 years ago during my ideal tone hunting days to find out what all the talk was about, it's been my go - to rig ever since. I've done something like 1000 + gigs with this combo and it's never missed a beat, it's been absolutely faultless and 100% reliable. If I could carry on with the weight I honesly wouldn't be letting it go, it's not that heavy compared to many rigs but the reality is I'm not getting any younger, my personal circumstances have changed and lighter rigs are the way to go for me now This rig has been the benchmark against which all other amp have been judged since it came to me, it has the oomph or wallop or whatever you want to call it, along with the tonal flexibility to adapt to any situation I've found myself in. I also like the basic voice of the combo, which isn't always the case with other amps. I've tried more that a few class D amps and none of them have the weight to their basic sound that the walkabout has. What's more, although the walkabout is rated at only 300 watts, that 300 ohms is louder than the 800 ohms of other class D amps. Since it came to me I've always used a clean sound, so never pushed the gain beyond around 10.30 -ish. It comes with the four wheel flight case, which is probably why it's in such nice condition. There's some light scuffing to the corners, but that's it. Apart from that, it's in good condition or better. I won't be splitting the amp from the speaker, it's selling as a combo or not at all. I'm not that worred if it doesn't sell, as it's one of the best pieces of equipment I've ever owned. If you want to find out what gives the Walkabout it's reputation, this is the one for you. I'll stand by this combo, it's been faultless all the way and if it's treated right, I don't see any reason why it won't continue for years to come. it's £700.00 firm, I paid slightly more for it when I bought it and I've never regretted it since. I'd much prefer collection, but will talk about other options if needed
  4. Agreed, compared to what else could be had for £200.00 it's worth the asking price all day long IMO
  5. Hi all Here's my SR500 up for sale, I'm in the process of making space for other things at the moment and this is next in line. For the money it's a fantastic instrument, it has new D'Addario strings and any high frets have been addressed, providing a nice medium low action. The pre amp certainly delivers, turn up the bottom end and watch your cabs walk across the room ! I'm selling for £200.00 and with the sound this thing puts out this bass is worth it all day long Below is the ad showing the pre amp and this very bass, please see pictures below for the two battery compartments to supply 18v I'd prefer collection please, but will discuss posting if it's a deal breaker Thanks for your time and attention BC
  6. Hi all Here's my laminate German double bass, there's a label inside that says "Made in Western Germany". It's a fun instrument to play and the sound projects well. I don't know which strings it has, but the tape in the headbox is blue which may indicate manufacture. As the pictures show, it has it's battle scars, the scroll at the middle of the left side of the headstock is missing. This is my first double bass and I'd love to keep it, but there's no point in keeping an instrument I can't play at the moment. It hasn't been played that much since it came to me so I'd rather it was put to good use. Collection only please, my car won't accept this instrument so I can't take it anywhere Thanks for your attention
  7. Dear all Now relisting, seems I was a bit hasty when describing it recently as I'd forgotten there were some cracks in the paintwork around the headstock. I compared the paintwork around the neck against the pictures in the original listing here, nothing has changed since then so it all seems stable. Apart from the paint cracks everything else is in really good condition The Stagg came to me in 2021, since then it's sat largely unused. Now circumstances have changed and it's time to move things on. I'm asking what I paid for it which is £200.00, a really good price for one of these Collection preferred please Thanks all
  8. I''ve had lots of enquiries, probably safe to say it's gone. I'll update if that changes

  10. Hi all Up for sale is a beautiful handmade Everson Caiman T4. This very bass was reviewed by Bass magazine, I'll include the magazine in the sale It's handbuild in the UK by Paul Everson, The body is Honduran mahogany with macassar ebony top, 3 piece walnut/maple neck, ebony fretboard, 24 frets (plus zero fret), Tesla single coil & humbucker with custom ebony covers, EMG 3EQ, Hipshot USA bridge and tuners. The condition is like new 9.5 /10, set is low action, it sounds and plays fantastic This is the lightest bass I've ever played at only 3.0kg / 6.6lbs ! I bought this bass some years ago when I was looking for a light bass after regular gigging left me with a painful left shoulder. Bandmates were often surprised to find my bass was lighter than their guitars... It comes with a padded case, as pictured I'm asking £1100.00, which is what I paid for it Thanks for reading
  11. Hi all Here's a german Warwick standard 5 string for sale, good solid german construction with quality materials. It's the passive two pickup version, everything works as it should. These basses are quite robust and sturdy, they should be pretty much bomb proof and last for years The body has marking, which hopefully shows in the photos. In keeping with these models, there's a very slight ridge at a small area where two of the three neck pieces are joined. Prefer collection, but will package and post if needed Thanks for reading
  12. Hi all Here's a P bass neck I bought from this forum some time ago for £50.00 with plans to dress the frets and build a low cost bass. I've been too busy to deal with it since then and now circumstances have changed it's time to move it on, I'm asking what I paid for it. Buyer pays postage to UK addresses Photos show wear to the frets, there's also a small mark at the back of the neck which the photo hopefully captures Thanks for reading
  13. Hi BC Here we have a Strat mini guitar, ideal for beginners. Beginners instruments are often cheap on the basis that if little Johnnie doesn't get on with it at least that's not much money wasted. That's not the case with this instrument as the frets have been levelled, crowned and polished. The nut slots have been set for ideal string height at the first fret, with some neck slight relief. All the electrics work as they should, all in all the guitar is good to play as it stands. This is an ideal guitar for a very young beginner as it will allow them to explore music without having to struggle with a poorly set up instrument. The scale length is 22' 13/16", more friendly for the small hands of young players. I've provided pictures of all body marks, they look much worse in the photos than they do up close and personal. All in all I think its a reasonable price for a beginner friendly guitar. Collection preferred please, but will parcel if buyer is prepared to pay postage Thanks all
  14. Hi all My priorities have recently changed, it's no longer realistic to continue with double basses, so up for sale is my Stagg EUB. It's in good condition and comes with it's case, which is also in good condition. Collection from South Essex nr junction 26 of the M25 please Thanks BC
  15. Hi folks I’ve come to realise my priorities have changed lately and having an extensive range of gear is not as essential as it used to be. Thinking ahead, I’m likely to need a minimal rig to meet my needs, so some things have to go, including this Mesa Boogie TT800 purchased from this very forum eight months ago here https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/483732-sold-mesa-subway-tt-800/#comment-5048254 It was purchased new in Feb 2021, it will come with the gig bag and original packaging. As before, the amp and gig bag are mint, it has twin ‘boogie’ and ‘subway’ channels, each with it’s own voice and full control set, including gain and volume, selectable HPF, master volume control, bright and deep buttons, output overdrive symmetry control, USB power socket. The previous owner described the tonal range as exceptional, I’ve no dispute with that at all It’s only been out of the house once to a local studio to be fired up to see what it sounds like, everything worked fine as it should. I’d like the £950.00 I paid for it, buyer pays for courier service if that’s required. Thanks for reading all EBC Now sold
