Liked the idea of the for sale thread at first glance, but considered it a bit. What if two people show up on the day wanting the same thing having seen it advertised on the thread ? to avoid this, it may be best to either; - Arrange the sale in the usual way and exchange on the day or, - Have a for sale sign up on the day. Of course, If everyone wants to have a for sale thread, shout up and I'll do it ! Keep the ideas coming T

Hmmm, thought about this one a bit. When at home, I imagine a certain sound for a given number. The ideal sound can vary between numbers, depending on style. However, on the day I like my sound to work in context to my situation. i.e. - Two guitars. Add bottom end so the bass can be 'felt' more, as some guitarists tend to turn up their amps lower frequencies, which of course, can interfere with the bass' mids. -Three peice. More mids, but not excessively so. - More dance n' disco. Bottom end, but with some highs. Perhaps the biggest influence is the sound of the instruments I'm playing with and the acoustics of the room. Having said all that, if a new bass has materialised in my hands, my sound miraculously changes to reveal the best aspects of that bass. Is this why I seem to keep on collecting basses ? If you have found your sound, do you stop buying other stuff ? T

what's it like acoustically ? is the 'dead spot' there acoustically as well ? could narrow it down a bit ? T

Prog rock. Thank God for something the modern pop media don't understand. Leaves the rest of us free to enjoy it without the BS that surrounds the modern rock scene. T

As we all know, a more traditional strap postions the same button more towards the player's left shoulder when using a right handed guitar. Is this more central positioning typical of forum user's experience with the darestrap ? cheers T

Heads up time folks Just checked the map for this one. It's close to the A406 North Circular where the roads have been reduced to one lane for the next six months, therefore much traffic annoyance unless you take steps to go around it. Just so's you all know....... T

Is there an issue with the top handles on 400 series amps ? My Mk IV is missing the handle. Anyone else's ? T

I needed something in a hurry and Jack stepped up. Top man. It was all last minute stuff and Jack was very accomadating, setting some time aside in a long day to help me out. A good host, with a very nice six string as well. Jack also gave me some good directions which led me straight there with no hassle at all. Met James today, who bought a Squire Jazz from me. A very straightforward deal with good communication throughout. It was great to meet local fellow BC'ers - nice folks to meet, we had an interesting time discussing music and having a jam with two basses.
