Hello UK and global bass community. Long time lurker etc here. I've been playing bass for 15 years, with periods of both feast (semi regular rehearsals and gigs) and famine (long stints of no music or guitar playing...). I am currently playing in a band (with members from two previous bands) for fun. We're playing a mixture of funk, jazz, soul, pop and rock and roll. Recently we've agreed to play a friends wedding. This has inspired us to take our playing more seriously and I'm experiencing something of a renaissance in my playing - hence my desire to connect with other bassists! I am a gear nerd, though this mostly centres on acoustic instruments. I am lucky enough to have acquired some beautiful bass kit over the years: 2012 MIA Fender Precision, Olympic White. Strung with 45 - 105 D'Addario Chromes. Stock except for loads of shielding. Plays and sounds like a P should. 2000 EB MusicMan StingRay 4H 2EQ, Natural. Strung with 45 - 105 Dr Sunbeams. Stock except for loads of shielding. The boring but trusty Aguilar amp combo: A 2013 TH500 and SL112.
