Thanks for the advice. I know those SX basses are great as i had one once. But, the only reason i didn't put it in the title was that i didn't want to mislead anyone as i'm not convinced this is an SX. When i got it there was no decal (SX or otherwise) on the headstock and no sign that one had ever been there until i put the Fender one on. Also, the headstock is a slightly different shape (actually closer to the Fender) than the "old" SX headstock. So it's still a mystery. If anyone has any ideas, i'm all ears! Thanks Alan.

Thanks for the kind words. It really is a nice bass and well put together. For those who may be wondering, i would say it's somewhere on a par with Squier Classic Vibe series in terms of build quality and playability etc. Thanks Alan.
