I've arranged for a special tea delivery for @ossyrocks from Farrers Tea & Coffee merchants in Kendal, they're sending a local van just for me, and a local dairy farm has helped chip in with milk.

 

The village hall will be open from around 08:00 for people to get in. Will anybody apart from myself (and possibly @neepheid) be coming at that time?

 

The intention is to finish around 16:00 (ish) as I have to be in York later than evening.

It's just under two hours drive for me, so I'm planning to be there around 10:30/11:00. I'm really looking forward to seeing some stunning instruments and renewing old friendships.

Speaking of stands - and who isn't these days? - I have this 3-slot Tiger stand going spare to anyone who's interested - no money will change hands. I'll bring it along on Saturday.

EDIT: This stand has found a new forever home. It's going to live on a farm far away.

I'm planning to bring my ACG J-Type 4-string (0096), ACG Finn Fretless 4-string (0122), ACG Harlot 6-string (0240), ESP Ltd B-208FM 8-string, Michael Kelly Firefly 4-string acoustic,  Chapman Grand Stick 10-string (deep matched reciprocal tuning), and an Ashbory Mk2 4-string. I'll either bring the Phil Jones Bass BG-110 Bass Cub Combo ... or I might go wild and load up my Gallien Krueger stuff (2 x MB500s along with a 115MBX and 210MBX cabinets) and my pedal board. 😱 Oh, and a folding sack trolley!

Splendid and tremendous news! It's in my Outlook calendar and it'll be on the new fridge calendar on 1st January. Have a great New Year/Hogmanay when it gets here.

I am planning to put pizzas in the oven for lunch so will have a selection but it would be good to know if people can't eat somethings.

 

If there is enough demand, happy to do bacon or sausage (meat and/or vegetarian) for breakfast. 

 

@neepheid can you let me know approx when you intend to come please? You are welcome at any time as I work from home. 

 

I also still have a spare bedroom with a double bed if anybody needs somewhere to stay for either Fri or Sat.

This is very thoughtful of you, Rob. No dietary issues from me ... as my old dad used to say, "Eats anything, fond of children."!

I have a spare Comfort Strapp (Extra Long, 42"-54", adjusts both ends) lying about here. The holes have been opened out on order to accommodate Dunlop Strap Lock pins. It's free to a good home - I'll bring it with me on the 18th. 🙂

You are most welcome. We haven't set a start time or an end time. We have the village hall for the whole day and from the previous evening (Fri) if we want it.

 

Mentally I have a 10:00 to circa 17:00 timescale for the day, but there's nothing to stop people turning up at 07:00 and leaving at 20:00. We will need to be a little sensitive with noise after around 18:00 though as I have no idea what the sound proofing is like in the hall, suspect it's minimal

 

I live 50m from the hall, and will have keys so if people want to arrive early, its no big deal. That's the village hall on the left from my office window ....

 

 

Clapham is not a bustling metropolis with five sushi cafes within walking distance, we have a pub, a community run village shop and a cafe and thats it. We do have 10m sheep and fabulous views of the dals though.

 

If people wanted to, we can arrange an evening of pizzas and playing, there are a few very good pizza joints a few miles away. Settle has options for more takeaways and is seven miles away.
