1.
That was a 2U & not put into production
Yup. But I still think this new one is related to it and possibly linked
 2. I think it's a special Geezer Butler signature head
 3. Looks superb!
 4. Superb
 5. I have a feeling the original 12 ohm cab and 4 ohm cab have the same driver but with different impedances, but I could be wrong and it doesn't really answer how the switch works. (Remember the 10" driver was originally developed for a 4 ohm 6x10, hence it's a non standard impedance).
 6.
Picked up in GB Music in Bognor Regis today. I've never spent £250 more willingly.
Not enough green there
 7. Some of these prices were clearly cooked up by the same people who came up with the new Trace Elliot cab pricing structure. Wow 😳
 8.
I'll bring them again
Good man
 9.
Good time had, even though I didn't manage to get around to checking out Cetera's Future Impact, The Greeks Elf, Ped's Wingbass (need to hook it up to a GR unit next time!), and generally try all the sexy basses that were about. Next year!
And I completely failed to try your Shukers. Again. 😶
 10.
Are they designed/intended to be used together (like the original Compact and Midget)? And do you use them like that?
They're not designed to be used like that but they do work very well together IMO
 11.
Mike Brooks gigged his a couple of weeks ago and had nothing but praise for it. To the extent that I'm considering one.
This, and from playing with Mick's on Saturday, are making me seriously consider one. It's my birthday next week so perhaps I'll treat myself!
 12. I'd like to come clean and say now that I'm no longer an ex-Barefaced user. My rig now consists of a Super Compact and One10 and I couldn't be happier. I'm an ex-ex-Barefaced user 😎
 13.
Trade for a Trace Elliot Elf???
14. I genuinely don't get the lack of mids thing, there are plenty on offer with the 12" cabs!
 15.
And elected...
No idea who you're talking about Bill (There's at least three on this side of the pond as well.....) Ahem, sorry, strayed into an off topic subject we're not allowed to discuss!
 16. Forgot to say, massive thanks to Nik, Colin Chris and Silvia and anyone else involved in organising yesterday, it was a cracker!
 17. Great day, thanks all. I'm one who was mighty impressed with Mick's little package (ahem, that's the second time I've made that terrible joke today) and now have to have willpower to stop myself phoning Bass Direct! Davey Rimmer was a lovely bloke and I thoroughly enjoyed his talk, sadly I missed Mr Lawson as I was busy comparing my ACG with many Spectors and checking out the wonderful creations of Mr orangefriday - especially the PacMan LEDs! Darren Reddick was a lovely guy and had some really interesting stories to tell, but he didn't like my ACGs so that's a black mark Off to a gig now, looking forward to next year already
 18.
It definitely varies with the band... I can't imagine using a single One10. I have not tried one, but I can't imagine using less than a Two10, let's put it that way.
I agree, for the gig I played last night a One10 alone wouldn't have been enough. With a Super Compact as well, however, and all was joyous and well with the world
 19. Sorry to hear that I got in from my gig at 3am, just having to psyche myself up for dragging myself out of bed now!
 20.
Hoping to make it tomorrow. If I can I'll be bringing:

The Trace Elliot Elf + a TE 1x10 cab
The Psilos Bass
The Silk Bass (featuring the SimS pick up system)
a number of HRC and Planet Hollywood jackets (for sale) to help smarten up attendees.
Are you a Victor Wooten fan? Bring along a Laptop...
Superb, would love to hear the Elf through my BF cabs My car is packed because I'm gigging tonight - just arrived in fact! - so all I need to add tomorrow are Eude's ACGs and my ACG Finn
 21.
I know you know But the OP might not, so I thought it might be useful info
Ah! I didn't really consider that perhaps I should know that you knew that I know, d'oh!
 22.
Just discovered the Gallery in Camden have a few BF cabs in stock too. Might have to check some out at some point, I've been curious to find out if the Retro/Compact would have enough top end clarity for my liking...
I've just bought a Super a Compact from there, Charlie was very helpful and patient with me (as was Alex as I bugged him with many questions and musings)
 23. @Conan and Bill - yes I know but I was keeping it simple
 24. I've always been the worst player in (what I consider to be) good bands. It's great as it keeps me on my toes and makes sure I don't rest on my laurels. I'm still sh*t, but it's nice to get asked back!
