    PS - much as I love the RM head (it's really quite stupendous), the ABM is something else entirely and quite sublime.

    I have. My main Ashdown rig is an ABM 500 EVO - around 17kg - and an Ashdown VS212 which is a ceramic loaded heavy thing. But not as heavy as my old Trace V-Type combo, which was about 7/8 of the Sun's mass. It's ace. But I would like a lighter cab haha

    Easy, in my experience. Sensible handle placement and not a ridiculously heavy lump makes for a valve amp which is easy to manoeuvre

    Skindred's bassist uses Laney Nexus gear I believe, he absolutely loves it and has a monster tone

    Is this the one on Facebook? For £90 I think it's a good cab, I think it'll be ply but could be wrong

    My first cab was an old MAG410 with celestion drivers and a ply cab, it was brilliant and I regret selling it because the Trace cabs which took its place weren't nearly as good IMO. If it's an early UK made I think you'll find it IS ply, they were made from 12mm ply before moving out to a China I believe
