1.
I may sell mine , depending on how my band rehearsal goes today with my new Super compact .
I did exactly that almost exactly 2 years ago! The SC is my favourite bass cab ever and when I no longer have lots of other "more important" (hmmmpf ) things to pay off I'll get another!
 2.
I was hoping for a Trace Elliot presence following my rekindled love affair with the brand and would have liked to have asked about future products like a lightweight Class D head. Shame that we lost a great British company when they were taken over by Peavey. Speaking to Mark Vanderkley about his new 500w head/combo was interesting and as we know Mark is producing some great gear at the moment - look forward to seeing his new creations.
Did you look at the Ashdown Retroglide? That could be worth a poke if you want the Trace thing in a lightweight form
 3. Pester the chaps, they might cave in I think it was the RM cab, it was set up near the front of their stand with a chrome ABM and the RM on top of it
 4. Only managed an hour in the morning before being whisked off to the London Eye by my son, so I think I only saw Dood, Hamster, Skelf and TomKent from these shores. Alan's basses were even more delightful this year than in previous years, thankfully Theo (mini Mert) was the perfect foil to me getting my credit card out
 5. They only had a Classic Line or RM610 there - red grille cloth or white speaker cones? Either way, glad you like the RM head! I've been singing its praises since I got one of the first RM800s last year, cracking head Ooh, and if I was still in the market for a "big" cab that Classic Line 610 would have been mine, it was only £650!
 6.
I thought the rehashed version was on 'slip of the tongue'? It's been a long time so I could be wrong....
You are clearly correct, my brain failing me
 7.
I know of a slightly used 5-string vintage white with tort (has a black one as well) Elwood for sale (not mine and not a basschat user either, please remove this post if it's breaking any rules), but it's the standard 34" scale. Quite pretty though, kinda '66-ish, painted headstock, lollypop tuners, dot&bound fretboard.
Cheers! I've become a fan of medium scale (Alan Cringean's fault, kind of) so although it's tempting it's not where my heart currently sits
 8. edit - late to the party!
 9.
Don't bring Ashdown into this.
That made me LOL
 10. looking forward to seeing what you get
 11. What have you got coming in to replace it Alan? For prospective buyers Alan is a top chap indeed
 12.
Do they have the same controls then? I know the main difference on the front panels of my LB30 and CTM100 is that the former has no input gain control. I seem to remember the CTM15 I owned for all of 24 hours had one, so I wonder whether they've put one on the CTM30.
Yup, the CTM is the same as the LB, no input gain. Mark Gooday has said many a time that they are identical but they basically rereleased it as the CTM to fall in line with that range, rather than confuse people and have another valve amp name.
 13.
I hope the prices don't go up, but I think there's wiggle room for them to rise and still be a bloody good deal.
Yup I get that impression! Same with ACG a couple of years ago, they are still ridiculously good for the little outlay.
 14. The GBP price has risen in the last month or so simply because of the exchange rate, but that of course isn't the same thing. Wish I'd decided to look at these earlier hahaha
 15.
In a selfless gesture I'll buy your ACGP for a couple of hundred to help you build a fighting fund.
16.
I keep looking at this which I like a lot... but I'm not really into shiny new basses, so it's fairly easy to resist.
It's purdy! But if you prefer the beaten up look I can see you being onto a winner
 17.
Don't do it, you'll go bald! Did that work..?
Already lost most of me hair
 18. I love your playing on the early Whitesnake stuff Mr M! I had a jam last year (with a view to form a band) where FFYL came up as a song. I checked if we were doing the superior original and was told yes of course. Turns out they thought the rehash from 87 was the original
 19. 32" scale Passive J set up Maple neck and board Either blue burst with pearloid scratchplate, black burst, vintage white with tort plate or all black with black plate. Of course I cannot afford it, but that's not the point. Talk me out of it.
 20. Ashdown Little Bastard or CTM30 (they're the same amp but the LB is the cool teenager and the CTM wears the grown up clothes) is what I'd look at, superb little beasts.
 21.
Just wondering if anyone has tried one yet. I'm considering their smaller-bodied hollowbody guitar from the same range, but they have a couple of interesting short-scale (30") basses too. http://m.guitarguitar.co.uk/Product/151218291668002
I'm very tempted by the 5 string having seen/heard in being played when I was in Mexico recently. I think, from talking a few people, that you need to make sure you find a good one and there are better instruments out there albeit at a higher price range. I still want one when I have some money though
 22.
Not sure if Si mentioned this, but definitely don't forget your earplugs.
Pardon? Can't hear you!
 23. I'll try to dig out my BC lanyard, it got lost moving house last year I think
