1.
And while I'm having a rant the power section of the abm amp series (up until the new class d evo 4) is of bad design too!
Totally OT but the new EVO IV ABM is not class D, it's still Class A/B They have done some class D ABMs but they are all with the EVO III preamp as far as I know.
2.
Silly that this is still here, beautiful bass (with a really comfortable neck might I add) for not much money at all! Si
Ditto. If I had any talent or maybe just the cash I probably would have had this before any of you chaps had a chance to even see it. But alas I have neither and that means this fantastic bass is going begging for an incredible price. Someone must be interested surely?
3. So what you're saying here Mark is that your not dangles at right angles? Or something? :S
4. Anyone with a One10 able to get to East Surrey on Thursday evening?
5. This is a weekend I have my son so will play it by ear, I've missed so many now I really want to come along but I can't see Theo enjoying it for more than ten minutes
6. https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/electro-acoustic-bass-guitar-and-case/1173177010 A friend of mine near Bristol, if you want a cheapy acoustic to have knocking around at work or something
7. I've found the MB quite harsh in the upper mids vs the MB Fusion. The MB Fusion brings a warmth and a more versatile preamp (IMO) and is well worth the extra few pennies
8.
IME the more 112's you use the better you sound.
Definitely. But it is possible to gig with just one if needed
9. I've happily gigged a single 1x12 with a loud rock band (one 4x12 and one 2x12 Guitar cab, drummer without a volume control...), albeit with PA support. It was a Baref***d Super Compact and it was superb. Others may disagree.
10. Neil Murray, Jah Wobble and Timmy C. Impressive little artist roster already. Nice one Alex
11. Very nice - love the little handle on the front of the Piccolo
12.
Here's a tip for the WT550. Don't sell yours. You will realise afterwards that it's a great amplifier - even if you do have too many amplifiers already!
I concur!
13. This is looking ace, lovely work
14. Cool I agree re the single speaker out (same on my RM800) but I believe they may have rectified that on newer production runs. I can't afford one of these (or anything right now sadly!) but know there's something else in the offing which I very much want above and beyond one of these. But it would be fun to have one
15. I'll bet. If I ever have money again and one comes up I might have to dip my toe in the water! Love the ABM500 so can see that this would be a bloody awesome monster
16. 12", 6" mid and horn I believe
17.
I heard the 500 in action last night, plenty of grunt, drive and twang. Sounded great in the mix which is the true measure of an amp.
Yep, it really does sit very well in the mix. A nice balanced tone with no nasty boom or harsh mids. I really do love it still
18. Replacing the valve is easy to do yourself
19.
No idea...but I've recent;y got a Retroglide 800 and its luverly....in a 1984 way...
You need to do a NAD thread! I'm very interested to hear what these are like, as are a fair few others
20. Nice one Kev - cracking set up you have there
21. Sounds like a cracker of an amp
