1. Here's a shot of both my rigs combined. I am seriously tempted to do a gig where I run the RM800 head through the RM110 cab with overdrive and the lows rolled off, then run the ABM EVO through the VS212 clean... The EVO is an old 2002 UK-built jobbie (though some of the boards inside date back earlier than that), absolutely pristine in and out and reaffirms my love of it as an amp. Superb power and (dare I say it) heft
2. As sealed as they can be given the packets aren't hermetically sealed, yes. In other words they've never left their individual protective envelopes
3. Lovely stuff!
4. They're all unused but I think I've had the Warwicks about 10 years (!!!), the DRs, Status and Rotos probably 5ish
5. Bugger, hope you can keep hold of it, it's so red!
6. Not my normal gig, depping with them but they are frankly an awesome 80s rock tribute band. Come along and enjoy some cools songs by people such as that bloke who had the plastic surgery, that awesome band who had the drummer who died in an unfortunate gardening accident and that band which recently got Axl Rose to sing with them. This rather snappy and awesome advert is all you need to remind you to come along and enjoy the Rock and/or Roll. Music starts at 10.00pm. Please come along and throw some shapes 🤘🏻
7. Good question! One Ashdown B string (I think!) Status Hotwire rounds 45 and 65 DR Hi Beams 45-125 set missing the E Roto Swing bass 45 and 65 Warwick Black label 45-135 set also missing the E So mostly lacking E :/
8.
A bit o' summat to practice on a t'ome, like.
Love that! The BTA is a beast - probably the best amp I've ever used but sooooo heavy!
9.
How loud do these get with an efficient 210 or 115? Enough for rehearsal with a loud rock band?
Yes, if you don't want a clean sound. I personally think it creates a glorious overdriven tone for a rock band, with PA support it's very gig worthy if that's the tone you require
10. In my clear out I have found an array of strings - all Stainless Steel round wounds in Rotosound, Status, Warwick and even Ashdown varieties. None make up a complete set so would be good for someone who just wants lots of random spares. I have gone to nickel strings thesedays so these won't be used by me. £20 posted to the UK for the random bundle
11. One of the best class D heads (IMHO!) - nice one
12. Cracking exposure for the brand there, nice one
13. Love Barts, haven't had a bass with them in for years now though! Hmmm.....
14. It's absolutely perfect, yes!
15. I concur. Just got another ABM (the third I've owned, haha, this time a 2002 EVO model) and plan on learning from two previous mistakes and never letting go again!
16. What amp are you using, the Aggie?
17.
So its all Discreet's fault then.
Certainly sounds like it!
18.
Yeah, it could be a supplied backline, but I would have thought someone of Tim's calibre would not accept any old backline?
Didn't he previously use Ampeg cabs? In which case it seems a fairly sensible choice
19. I had a Shark 5 for a while and it is one of the best 5 strings I have played. Super comfortable and light and the neck was amazing. This looks to be an absolute cracker at this price! GLWTS
20. Cracking
21. Bump for a top chap and because I ended up being a bit of a tyre kicker on this - sorry fella
