    If money were no object I'd buy an awful lot of gear to have in a big soundproofed bass room, so I could pick and choose a different rig for each gig depending on my mood. It would end GAS and almost certainly result in some gigs being terrible as I struggle to get to grips with a certain amp or cab

    I suspect the power module Ashdown used in the LG1000 is no longer easily available but easiest way to find out would be to fire them an email. As for cabs - what impedance are they? You can run two 8 ohm cabs fro one side no prob

    The ABM is a cracking head - Discreet has my old one. I'd agree stick to two of the same cab type too, probably two 2x10s

    To be fair I've seen plenty of other manufacturer's cabs have peeling tolex issue, however it is normal after a few years not a few weeks/months!

    Nice, glad it's worked out I'm now Barefaced-less for the first time in nearly 7 years Gear consolidation and not enough gigs has sent me down a different route (watch this space haha)

    Speaking of frequency-related hearing loss I tried that little slider and can hear nothing below about 35 Hz and nothing above 12kHz. I swear I did a similar test last year and still got to around 15 kHz, maybe my memory is also going :/

    Depends on your tonal goals. I also gig a 30W valve amp and its glorious but completely overdriven the whole time. If you want clean, avoid it

[/quote] In my opinion you won't go far wrong with one, it's a versatile little beast but I've not had huge experience with Mark Bass stuff so not sure how it would compare.
