1. Very nice Phil An all-British built setup, lovely stuff! Glad the amp is working out for you too, what a beast she is!
2. Everything gone except the Hiscox - and it needs to go because the new case arrives on Monday so it's going to be in the way £80 delivered (UK)
3.
Anyone else get Thumb gas?
Yes
4. Yep, got one of the first ones to come into the UK. Nice little cab for the money IMO. I suspect a pair would make a very good little cost-effective stack. Compared to the more boutique cabs I'm sure it would fall down sonically but for my specific needs it is bang on the money and I'm tempted by a second one...
5. Sold a gig bag and stand to Adrian, it was supremely easy and hassle free. Many thanks!
6. I have to say my first MB200 was Chinese and second was USA; the Chinese one blew the USA one out of the water for fit and finish. Both sounded identical though
7.
Wow. Thanks for the very generous offer but my next gig isn't until Nov. I brought a new phone yesterday, so that's the budget gone for now. I'm stuck with the 1212L for a bit longer.
November then - give me a shout if you want to borrow one even if just for shits and giggles
8. Tom has three feedback threads and I imagine they all say what a top chap he is Very quick and easy deal and he now has a shiny set of DR strings, hooray
9.
Thanks, that helps. Ive got a thread on here about replacing my 1212L with something else, and i did buy a BF Retro two10 but felt it was not quite what i was looking for, although definitely in the right direction away from the 1212L Do you find the Compact to be as pokey and loud as the 1212L (from memory of course), or at least able to keep up as the 1212L did. A super compact is top of my list at the moment.
Dave do you have any gigs between now and Oct 24th? All my gigs before then don't warrant using both Super Compacts, if you want to borrow one to see how it fares you're very welcome
10.
This is starting to look like BCs first ever universally liked piece of gear
No, I hated mine, and I certainly didn't at one point own two of them
11. Bought for a specific purpose which no longer exists. New but without box and with Velcro for pedalboard mounting. £20 posted to the UK
12. Also found a Hercules GS302B mini guitar stand. It's no use as none of my basses have a symmetrical body any longer - would be good for things like Precisions or the standard Status shape. Great condition as hardly used. £12.50 posted to the UK SOLD Picture of the various things still available:
13. Got my eye on a Mono dual gig bag, so these would be surplus to requirement. Hiscox Liteflite case - as new condition, this was supplied with my ACG Finn earlier this year. One of the catches is a bit stiff for some reason but other than that this is perfect. £80 collected or £85 posted to mainland UK SOLD Status Graphite Gigbag These are really good gig bags for the money, well padded with a neck strap and sensible straps on the back meaning when carrying the bass it's not three hundred feet above your head primed for every doorframe... This is in great condition despite being my main Gigbag for the last couple of years. New these are £37.50 plus VAT and shipping, I'm selling this for £30 including shipping to mainland UK. SOLD DR Sunbeams 45-125 Decided I prefer the Lo Rider nickels for my ACG so this still box, unused set can go. SOLD If you're further afield and want either of these PM me and we'll sort something out
14. Sounds like it was a great day (as always!) If it's the tenth anniversary next year I will be there with knobs on. No excuses about moving house or other nonsense next time haha!
15. Ah my old amp! Still one of my favouritest bass amps ever, a cracking little bit of kit. And a steal at that price too Edit - the stock photos show speakons only for the speaker outs but I'm pretty sure this is an early model with the green combi-speakon/jack sockets if that helps!
16. It's looking less and less likely I'll make it :'( But I will try my hardest, just can't see it happening with the amount of extra bits people keep adding on to my day "whilst I have the van".... Grr.
