1.
Oh? What does he use?
Barefaced I believe now - one of their first endorsing artists.
2.
We wont know until top class people start using them... and shops start stocking them.
Like Neil Murray perhaps, and with respect to shops, Bass Gear (TKS) and the Great British Bass Lounge (Barefaced)
3. I'll get pictures of this next weekend, it's currently in the band lock up...
4. I disagree. Just because otherwise it's not Basschat
5.
Thank you for this review. No need for 800W for me but they are bringing out a 400W version. Seriously need for one of those!
Oh, bugger
6.
That's a far better explanation than mine. Frank.
Makes a change for me
7. Bill, Alex et al have all got the ears, they have heard what they like/don't like and what is good/bad about speakers, they have learnt why things break/sound crap/sound great. They have the science AND the ears IMO But I think that's what you're getting at isn't it JTUK; one without the other is not so great
8. Knowing how insane the BTA200 is I imagine this is crushingly loud! Really, really good amps IMO
9. That is a very sexy little rig. Nice!
10. TBH the tiny overhang when the Super Compacts are vertical doesn't worry me, so it depends how wide the stage is!
11. I can vouch for the ABM500 + 2x Super Compact rig. Stonkingly good
12. Ridiculous bargain for someone! Gorgeous bass
13.
I love the - now disconinued - Super 12T. Fantastic one-cab-does-all solution, easy to carry, on-board wheels, loud, articulate, all I need in a cab. So I have two!
Knowing the old S12 and the new Super Compact, I can safely say the new Super Twin is even more immense and incredible
14. Yep: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/261130-tc-group-bought-by-behringer-including-tc-electronic/page__view__getnewpost
15. Must watch later - might get fired listening at work!
16. Every gig is a bass cock up from beginning to end for me
17.
Beware of buying more than you need!
Naaaah. I have three heads with a fourth on order and four cabs. A rig for every occasion, and several occasions I don't require too
18.
Me too! I was expecting one of those Dan Armstrong basses.
Like this? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/256447-new-bass-ampspeaker-concept/page__fromsearch__1
19.
I don't know I agree with this theory, the good old Celestion Vintage 30 is a common swap into many different guitar cabs and, as far as I am aware, usually gives a big improvement, probably purely because it is a higher quality speaker than the normal, manufacturer price driven, unit.... See if the cab builders recommend anything specific for the cab, if not visit the likes of Celestion and see if anything takes your fancy, they do have sound clips available for a lot of the speakers but that has always confused me as if I listen to the clip on the laptop it will sound crap...if I listen through the hifi it will sound much better! so surely the clip quality is driven by the speakers you listen to them through!
Er, bass speaker cabs are a completely different kettle of fish from guitar speaker cabs. It's all in the low frequency handling
20. You want more power in the bass/lows - for example the GK biamp system offers 50W for the highs and 400W+ (depending on the model) for the bass
21. Wrong AH1000 for your BFC I'm afraid Urban Lions!
22.
Thank you. That narrows my search down a bit more now. Do you think there are any still in existence?
Yes, just about as rare to find as their magical V Type 4x8 cabinet though!
23.
Yes my bad..... I didnt get in till 3 from a gig so not awake! Post edited......
No excuse
24. I thought bass and treble on 2 (8 o'clock) and mids on full was flat? Either which way these are superb amplifiers, dead simple, loud and clean
