1. Best cab I've ever used. Two of them is often overkill for me
2. Excellent. Can your dad buy me bass gear too please?
3. A natural progression, which is to be encouraged
4. Excellent! Been a successful year for you on the amps front
5.
A-hem, Off the cuff, I'm sure someone's collared a good deal, but trying to button down where on the south coats? ;-)
Haha!
6.
If I didn't have 2 super compacts on order I'd be on the Motorway now! I bloody knew this would happen!
Ah bugger, sorry!
7. PS they have always been an immensely stable rig in the past, it's all because the new amp is too wide, deep and heavy to make me confident in a stack. Staying with BF and going for a Retro Six10 hopefully
8. An ABM EVO II thru two SCs sounds immense. I wouldn't change
9. WT550 still my favourite solid state amp ever. Superb head.
10.
Get hold of one of the older Barefaced Vintage 2x15s if you can, they are nice and wide, and sound excellent! I think yours is the super15, so the vintage is wider -
That photo is pure filth! Liking the sound of the Six10 more and more, the Vintage was a superb cab.
11. I've come to my senses so these are withdrawn. Sorry everyone, especially Spoonman!
12. I'd believe ye website as it's very recently updated. My wait was about two months but that was way back at the end of 2013. Super Compacts are (IMO) the best bass cab I've ever used. I know others don't like them but for me they are exceptional. Enjoy
13. Pics please, got a friend who's interested! Thanks
14. Weekend warrior, not anywhere near the level I'd like to be after 20 years of playing but that's down to laziness and not practicing as much as I should. Trying to put that right this year
15. I'd like to add Furyon to the list but I can't. Their first album is cracking but their second is turgid MOR bollocks (IMHO ) The first album is full of swagger, gear changes mid song, awesome playing and arranging. The second just doesn't have the same balls and feels formulaic by comparison. Two new guitarists you see, makes all the difference. So check out Gravitas by Furyon but avoid the other one (forgotten its name already it's that good haha)
16. Oh, PS: http://instagram.com/p/z7tWWmqN3R/ Just after I did the "omigodiloveyourplayingonStainsomuch" burble
17.
Thank you guys! Next time I want to meet up with you all properly, as opposed to taking photos of your back etc.!
There's slightly more hair on my face I missed everyone simply because every time I went to the BassGear stand it was crowded and I couldn't see any BCers I recognised! Spent most of my time with Alan (Skelf) and Ashdown
18. Nice blog, and you got the back of my balding head in your very first pic
