1. These are excellent little cabs, GLWTS
2. Greg is a good friend of mine, buy with confidence

Absolutely cracking bass, absolutely cracking chap, absolutely cracking price! If it was a 5 I've no doubt I'd be having trouble with the bank manager about now
4. New T-Rex board courtesy of TPJ - not as jam packed as some on here and you could say plenty of space for expansion Signal from wireless goes into an SFX Micro Thumpinator, then into an EHX Switchblade - this is wired backwards as I occasionally find myself gigging without the wireless so it just means I plug straight into this and switch rather than unplugging leads. Also allows a swifter changeover if the batteries die in the wireless mid gig. It's never happened because I'm anal about changing them but you never know … After the EHX we go into the tuner, octave, Prunes and Custard, chorus and then SansAmp. These days I find myself DI'ing from the transformer derived DI on my amp but there are occasions when the SansAmp will be needed. The Parallel Out goes to my amp. I like the fact it looks a lot more stupid than it is - in actual fact there are only three fx and one preamp on here so it's all a bit overkill, but it works for me Also the perspective makes it look like the pedals are overhanging the bottom of the board. They're not...
5. Ah fair enough, the V4 badge is probably an addition after-market, afaik it only came into existence with the 2nd gen V-Type range. As for this particular specimen, I am quite drawn to it but would be too scared to take it out!
6. The ones with a V4 badge were the next gen, assuming yours has the compressor as well?
7. Wow that really is pristine! Also like buses, the second one to appear on here in the last fortnight..! Good luck with the sale, always wanted one of these but have a sensible head on my shoulders now and don't need the power or weight Still amazed at the condition of this baby
8.
Doesn't that amp have two power amps? So it can run at 8 ohms 375w a side? So just run a cab in to each side is what I would do. Andy
This
9. Simon bought some Wizard pickups from me, yet again a dead easy pain free transaction. Cheers!
10. Andertons have the 8 ohm ones in stock (I know this coz I just bought one for home!) GAK claim to have the 4 ohm one.... I have to say i'm very impressed with it for such a cheap little cab. It's not in the same league as my Barefaced Super Compacts but is great for home and will be good for little rehearsals and gigs too
11. With your budget buying second hand would be my preference - much more for your money
12. Sounds like it's one of the new TE combos so they'll be 200W Celestion drivers I think, and in my (albeit limited) experience their new cabs are better than the mid 90s stuff.
13. The Ashdown Touring/Spyder amps were designed to be clean valve preamps, not dirty
14. I believe Eude and Doddy both run them so hopefully one will pop along soon with some words
15. I played thru a Series 5 4x10 combo at a local festival last week, it sounded great with everything set flat. Great amp, probably their finest hour along with the Series 6 and V-Type stuff! Struggling with my conscience at the moment wrt the V-Type head in the FS section at the moment....
16. Bought a Hartke cab for a friend, Cliff was an absolute pleasure to deal with, thanks
17. Damn I was driving past Wimborne earlier, should have made a pit stop!! Great amp, still my favourite SS head ever (ok it has the valve in the pre...) GLWTS
18. Here's my all valve baby (and some other bits and bobs!) No longer own the ACG but there's a new one in the early stages of being built
19. If I didn't have an all valve head it would be this or the MB fusion, and this is a silly price for such an amp. It can't last the week surely? GLWTS
