1. Ah, the VFE Bumblebee and Bumblebee Jr look good. None in the UK that I can find though, haha!
2. Ah the Boss Slow Gear, that's the fella! Yes maybe the microsynth is a bit much for the one effect. Anyone want to build me one, or know anyone who might...?
3. I'm sure I've seen a pedal which does this but can't remember what it is... Basically want to combine it with a synthy/fuzzy effect to remove the attack from the notes. If there is one, can you change the length of the swell? Think of it as an auto volume pedal....
4. Good work organising this! I look forward to meeting a lot of you and hopefully seeing some familiar faces
5. Oooh, gonna be there on the Sunday with my lovely friend and colleague Faye (not a member on here... yet....) See some of you there
6.
Still does, bringing out an album every few years, including Eight last year.
Oooh good, another NK album to buy! Cheers To Be Frank is one of my favourite albums, period.
7.
Both appalling bands imho. I would say Bon Jovi are better purely on the strength of the fact that they did the soundtrack to Young Guns 2 .
Not true. Jon Bongiovi did it, not the band. Technicality (yes I'm a pedant....)
8. Bought one of Marco's Eden 1x12 cabs. Honestly you couldn't ask for a more impeccable service from anyone. Excellent communication from the beginning, tracking number given to me when shipped and even then Marco tracked it to the point of sending an email telling me it was out for delivery. Brilliant. Can't wait to try the cab, it looks even better in flesh than it did in the photos.
9. Or this: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/200140-trace-elliot-1528-2x15-flightcased-l150/page__pid__1983667#entry1983667
10. Barefaced Super15. The head is almost as big as an S12, but the S15 would be awesome. Great sounding cab.
11. A Lep live gig these days is super slick, very well produced show with all the vocals and notes perfectly practiced to within an inch of their life. I did eel they have lost a bit of soul live, the best gig I saw them do (I have seen 7...) was Broxton Academy in 2003, they seem to have lost their sparkle since going back to arenas. Never seen Bon Jovi but I imagine it's a similar prospect. Neither band will ever write another inspiring song I imagine, and I find that hard to write as I grew up with Lep.
12. I like both That said Bon Jovi only did three good albums and Def Leppard's best output was in 1981 or 1996 depending on what mood I'm in. (Neither album is one of the famous ones)
13.
It was a pleasure watching a friend of mine Phil Mulford playing bass for most of it. The other bands that weren't the house band were hit and miss musically but it was a nice idea.
Yes it was Did you notice his cheeky fills in Twist and Shout? We have suitably taken the piss on facebook
14. Holy moly that's delicious!
15. Tim bought my Zoot cab, absolute pleasure to deal with and excellent comms
16. And replied 2 people in line for this already, pics to follow this evening!
17. FS only, £150 collected or £165 shipped to the UK An early Zoot 1x12 cab, no tweeter, 300W at 8 ohms. Has a Celestion Neo in it and it sounds great, very light. Some of the green tolex on the baffle is beginning to peel near the port but it's in excellent condition otherwise. Selling for the same price I bought it for. Pics to follow, it's in the band's lockup at the mo...
18.
Agree? Now there's an idea
It's the wrong idea, I'm sure
19. Shame the link to the Dr Green pedals doesn't seem to work...
20.
Just realised I didn't post pics of my new (to me) Shark I acquired in June. Or at least I don't think I did, apologies for the repost if so. Still thinking about moving on my Eclipse Ltd 5 if anyone's interested. Andy
That's lovely! As is your Eclipse. Oh to have some money....
21. Bought a Thumpinator from Stephen, perfectly quick and easy transaction, cheers
22. Sold Gus an LS-2, very quick and easy transaction with excellent commas throughout
23.
In fairness, they are one of the few I can think of, Bergantino maybe? I personally have no issue using a cab from a company who source their drivers elsewhere, I'm too technologically ignorant to know any different!
Exactly Most cab manufacturers use OEM drivers from Celestion/Eminence/B&C/Fane/Sica/Jensen etc etc etc. It really doesn't matter as long as it sounds good
