1. My MB200 is being used as a monitor amp at gigs at the mo, whilst ours in monitor power amp gets fixed. Does a bloody good job too! Whereabouts are you based?
2. Put it this way- if money and space were no object I'd never have sold mine...
3.
Cheers Dude.
No prob. You thinking of the one in the FS section? Go for it!
4.
Never. That level of authenticity is for tribute bands not cover bands. You'll never sound like the original so just sound like you. My brain isn't big enough to remember all the notes in the right places so the band gets my take on the number. Sometimes its close other times it's not. It doesn't matter because we've all got a spark of originality and are just a bunch of guys playing a number, in our own way.
This. Some of my lines are totally different from the original as we play it with a different feel, some are pretty close (or sacred!)
5. One of my favourite heads ever, leave everything flat and crank it up and you'll grin from ear to ear. Only replaced it with a GK MB Fusion for practicality - which is a bit of a daft comment coz the WT550 is hardly big or heavy! Edit: I play in a wedding/function band too, the Eden was amazingly versatile without needing to actually DO anything. Just tweak your playing style and te sound will be there.
6.
Merton, which GK do you have? The MB200 or bigger? What cab do you put it through?
I have the MB200 and the MB Fusion, I was only commenting ont he MB200 for this thread though Cab is a Barefaced Supter 12T, though I have used it with a Zoot 1x12 on a couple of gigs and it's been fine then too.
7.
It's not the least bit unusual for a start-up company to find itself unable to keep up with the demand once the word gets out. If Alex was still taking full payment rather than just a deposit you'd have some valid concern. Since he isn't he's not I'd be patient, good things come to those who wait.
This. Alex hasn't got a bad bone in his body too, really wouldn't be concerned by this, it's just they're so busy!
8. Sold an sfx Burninator to Paul, wonderful easy transaction Enjoy the pedal sir!
9. I love the GK! Mine is silent as a very quiet thing, and surprisingly loud
10.
I wouldn't want to be in a band with anyone who uses there where they should be using their. P
This
11.
I just need the rehash of the "Setting Up Compressors for Dummies" as once again my brain went into melt down
It's got something to do with using one control knob only, I'm sure.

Sorted

All sorted now, thanks guys. I'm depping the gig to ... myself ... because the remaining band members won't let me out and I have totally ballsed up the logistics wrt van driving and insurance Needless to say I'm not very popular with a few people now... But good to know so many of you know the songs! Cheers
13.
Looking immensely forward to your review when you get your S12. Just ordered a Super 12T today, and the Streamliner is on the shortlist if I replace my MB200.
S12T and an MB200? Amazing little rig, will punch well above its (minuscule) weight.

This is a bit of a bind. I have a gig booked with my function band - www.bitd.co.uk - on Saturday 20th October. But I also have a wedding to go to which will lead to castration if I don't go. The gig is a charity function in Essex, but the band is already with a dep singer (ours has pleurisy!), a dep drummer (on another gig) and a dep soundman (er, f**k knows) so it would be a weird one. The drummer has done two gigs with us in the last four months, ditto the singer, but you will be totally green. Check the vibe from the website and drop me a PM if you're interested. I can get a set list over to you immediately to learn anything. Cash payment on the night, around £150 I think
16. VGC but has Velcro from being on my board. No PSU with it but still has its original box. £30 posted in the UK SOLD
17. Had a brief play with my new G30 today, very impressed so far with the sound (clearer than the AKG, very definitely) and the lovely array of status LEDs is great. Looking forward to using it in anger this weekend
18. I have an AKG bug (mine is not an illegal frequency, ref post 29) but have just bought a Line 6 G30 to give myself a bit more flexibility with respect to not being tied to a single channel and to avoid interference. Will report back when I get it, but I'm expecting an improvement in tone as the AKG does add a noticeable distortion to the tone if you A/B in a very quiet room.
19. RIP Geoff Sad news, especially with the band on your in the US at the mo.
