3. Cass Lewis plays them a bit here and there I believe
4.
If some are fine and some are not then I'd blame user error.
I concur. Mine only fell off after 2 years of heavy handedness on the part of the band's crew. Most other gear lasts less than 12 months EDIT: but bigger fatter screws would certainly help!
5. Nice one!
6. PS the feet are standard issue Adam Hall feet you can get at Blue Aran......
7. Bigger screws and wood glue fixed my S12
8.
Hi Guys. here is my Trace Elliot V4, picked it up yesterday and it sounds fantastic. http://s1332.photobucket.com/user/Tonywhite985/library/?sort=3&page=1 a couple of pictures on my photobucket, but had hassle adding the actual photos.
Was that the one on eBay last week? I almost went for it!

GK MB Series

Whereabouts are you? I have two weeks of no gigs if you wanted to give the MB Fusion a go. Assuming you're nearby!

GK MB Series

I bought an MB200 back in 2011 and fell in love with it, so much so that in Oct 2011 I bought an MB500. It was a great amp but I felt it was a bit harsher than the 200 - I think the 200 has really nice soft compression/limiting on the power amp stage which makes a difference. So I sold the 500 and bought an MBFusion instead. Haven't looked back, amazingly versatile amp and the 200 serves as a fantastic back up/small gig amp. TBH through the Super12 the 200 can hold its own on many gigs
11. Sad news
12. Oh to have speakers on my work PC... I'll watch this later but I'll add to Dave's comment re the volume control and hope that the MBFusion 800 addresses it too ...
13. Skunk Anansie Pearl Jam
14. Bought an Octamizer off Lee, very quick and easy transaction, super fast delivery and excellent packaging. Cheers!

16. Another WAAAAAANNNNNNTT from me. Anyone want a kidney?
17.
I know Alan would build you an amazing shorty if you choose to go with ACG. If you want to try out a 33", you're more than welcome to pop over, I'm in sunny South Croydon/Sanderstead.
Ah cool, I forgot you were so close! Thanks for that d(e)ude, I may just have to take you up on that offer and show off my incredibly poor ability! 33" might be OK, I was thinking more 32" or even 30.5"....
18. Fair enough, that's the sort of comment I need before I commit to anything! That was my concern, I like quite high tension in my strings...
19. Anyone got any examples of any short-scale 5 strings (low B )? How do the sound and feel vs a full scale 5er? Considering getting Alan (ACG) to build me a shorty her based on the Graft basses at some point in the next year, so interested to know experiences of how successful the reduced scale-length is with the floppy low strings
20. Status Hotwires And yes IME the difference between pickups and finger positioning really is noticeable. Oh and Bert, flat side down
21. I love them. You still get a very slight "growl" like you get with a round but the bottom end is so much smoother and the balance across the strings feels better. I like bright zingy rounds but I am definitely moving towards preferring halfs, of my three main gigging basses two are now strung with halfs. The recorded tone is lush too. As for feel and tension they give me more what I crave and IMO help my (crappy) technique as they feel "right". Hope that makes some sense :/
22.
Oh you rebel you!
Yeah check me out with my crazy antics
23. Hated flats first time around but have in the last few months fallen in love with halfwounds
24. The tone will be fine, trust me I know this coz I had the power trannies replaced in mine after my mate dropped it heavily and knocked all the heat sinks off the originals...
25. Great looking bass! But it has more controls than my amp I think....
