1. I really don't want to do this, but I'm flat broke having to pay for a house I don't live in plus rent and food where I do live. I bought it off Ghost_Bass in January as a home cab/small gig cab - original sale thread here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/196776-fsft-eden-d112xlt8n-cab-only-one-left/ It has so far stayed at home and been played precisely 5 times as I live in a flat so normally rehearse with my GK app on the iPad. Absolutely pristine condition as the photos show, I think I still have the original box at work and will ship to UK mainland in the cost (which is the same I paid). It's a cracking cab, I really like it but finances dictate something must go. Price is £350 shipped, no trades as I need the cash. Unless you have one of these already and want an S12 and cash my way in trade that is...
2. SMX dates from 1992/3 ish to 1997/8 Depending on output power you could be looking at between £250 and £450 I reckon
3. SMC was a 7 band, this will be an SMX
4. Still my favourite bass amp ever
5. Looking good dude When do I get to gig it......?
6. GK MB Fusion? Light, loud, tube preamp, versatile.... Then you'd run the exact rig I run... PS doubling up anything when there's an S12 already there is probably overkill unless you're playing Wembley!
7. Gig volumes I thought the proto was amazing, it seemed to hold its core tone around the room better than the S12 and was surprisingly loud. I managed to get the protection circuit to kick in on one gig but we were f-ing loud and I had just had 20 minutes of solid compressed distorted tones going through it. I'd always prefer the protection circuit than a fried speaker so it didn't bother me. When was the bash again? I gigged it Oct 2012...
8. No idea - you played the proto about a month before I gigged it!! EDIT - what did you think of it?
9.
Care to expand on that? Sounds intriguing!
It's a ceramic 1x12", a bit bigger than the Midget but not really any bigger than any other 1x12 on the market. It sounded WONDERFUL, honestly I would compare it to what people traditionally perceive a 1x15 to sound like as opposed to a 1x12. Rich, deep bass, beautiful smooth mids and a lovely velvety top end which was never harsh and never lacking. I have already told Alex I want to buy it once he's finished playing with it and having people beta-test it. I will sell the S12 to do so, it's that good IMO.
10. Having gigged the first proto of the "next generation" Barefaced cab (a 1x12) those who don't like the Midget I think will be pleasantly surprised. It may be a while off production though...
11. That almost pasted properly...

13. Cass Lewis plays them a bit here and there I believe
14.
If some are fine and some are not then I'd blame user error.
I concur. Mine only fell off after 2 years of heavy handedness on the part of the band's crew. Most other gear lasts less than 12 months EDIT: but bigger fatter screws would certainly help!
15. Nice one!
16. PS the feet are standard issue Adam Hall feet you can get at Blue Aran......
17. Bigger screws and wood glue fixed my S12
18.
Hi Guys. here is my Trace Elliot V4, picked it up yesterday and it sounds fantastic. http://s1332.photobucket.com/user/Tonywhite985/library/?sort=3&page=1 a couple of pictures on my photobucket, but had hassle adding the actual photos.
Was that the one on eBay last week? I almost went for it!

GK MB Series

Whereabouts are you? I have two weeks of no gigs if you wanted to give the MB Fusion a go. Assuming you're nearby!

GK MB Series

I bought an MB200 back in 2011 and fell in love with it, so much so that in Oct 2011 I bought an MB500. It was a great amp but I felt it was a bit harsher than the 200 - I think the 200 has really nice soft compression/limiting on the power amp stage which makes a difference. So I sold the 500 and bought an MBFusion instead. Haven't looked back, amazingly versatile amp and the 200 serves as a fantastic back up/small gig amp. TBH through the Super12 the 200 can hold its own on many gigs
21. Sad news
22. Oh to have speakers on my work PC... I'll watch this later but I'll add to Dave's comment re the volume control and hope that the MBFusion 800 addresses it too ...
23. Skunk Anansie Pearl Jam
24. Bought an Octamizer off Lee, very quick and easy transaction, super fast delivery and excellent packaging. Cheers!
