1. Bought a Thumpinator from Stephen, perfectly quick and easy transaction, cheers
2. Sold Gus an LS-2, very quick and easy transaction with excellent commas throughout
3.
In fairness, they are one of the few I can think of, Bergantino maybe? I personally have no issue using a cab from a company who source their drivers elsewhere, I'm too technologically ignorant to know any different!
Exactly Most cab manufacturers use OEM drivers from Celestion/Eminence/B&C/Fane/Sica/Jensen etc etc etc. It really doesn't matter as long as it sounds good
4.
Eden did I think.
Thanks, point proven...
5. I like the look of that! But confused why they need to update the MiBass already though...
6.
Please excuse my ignorance and feel free to educate me, but, I see a lot of money changing hands for second hand TE cabs but was always led to believe they were only celestion speakers in them! Is this the usual case of paying for the badge on the front?
How many bass cab manufacturers actually make their own drivers?
7. Sold!
8. Yup, have replied to your PM
9. Bought this 2nd hand n here before Christmas but my plans for it have disappeared so am now selling it. I bought it for £55 posted in the UK, that's what I'm selling for again. Ta!
10. The ones with 2 or 3 at the end were supposed to be part of a modular system which all fitted together (ie the 2s fitted together and the 3s fitted together). I think.
11. How much for postage? Trying very hard to resist this baby....
12.
Although I don't use a micro head myself, see this thread for a pic of my cab with a little cute amp on top... It's even called a Vintage, so you can't get much more "vintage" than that! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/191022-used-a-barefaced-vintage-last-night/page__p__1859523__hl__vintage__fromsearch__1#entry1859523
I gigged a BFB Vintage with the GK MB200 a couple of times. That looked great IMO
13. PM'd
14. Bought an LS2 off Ant, dead easy transaction so thank you very much
15.
Initial report, for what its worth. Just 5 piibts for now as I will need to spend some tine fiddling. Ive no drummer to compete with atm so volume levels were relatively restrained. 1. The twin channels. Is there a clear difference in voicing or gain? I found it to be quite subtle. <snip> 4. The deep switch. Magnificent.
1. Depends how you set the gain. I set Channel A with relatively low gain to keep it clean, and Channel B with almost totally cranked gain to get a big ol' dirty mess 4. Absolutely. Unless you happen to be gigging the new Barefaced prototype in which case turn it off before the walls and roof land on your head.
16. The finish is incredibly hard wearing and has proven far more durable than the tolex-covered Marshall and Engl rigs of our guitarists.
17. Bought a Mooer Picthbox off Shep, fantastic service, comms and delivery, cheers! Top class fella
18. Yes please, PM'd
19. Lovely combo, great tone from these. I used to have one with the 4x8 cab as well, awesome rig!
20.
My cab should have similar sensitivity to the S12, but at 8 ohms instead of 4, it'll be a little less loud with the same amp. Mind you, this guitarist was stupidly, painfully loud, and I'd never expect a 140 watt bass amp through a 2x12" to compete with a guitar amp of twice the power through twice the cone area. With the more reasonable guitarists in my band, it does a fine job.
Aha, yes my guitarist is generally quite sensible with his volume control, a rare breed indeed
21. If you have a very sensitive cab the MB200 can keep up with a Mode 4 no problem, mine has done on several occasions (Barefaced Vintage and S12...)
22.
... and then again, perhaps not.
23. Nice basses! I have a seafoam green Status Shark, it's a great colour
24. We used www.awesomemerchandise.com for ours
