1. Love them. I have a USA built WT550 which was built around the time of the US Music takeover so hopefully hasn't been a victim of the cost cutting etc. It certainly seems well built and sounds bloddy great. jhk's rig sounded sweeeeet on Saturday at the Bash
 2.
Me with a Status, the shame
It's probably the strap height you should be more worried about... Sorry about that, it's coz I'm a short arse
 3.
Here's my rig from the day! Edit - The Barefaced cab isn't mine, it belongs to Alex (the man behind them).
Ther eisn't a man behind them, just two bass cases...
 4.
Another excellent Bassbash. I had a great time, as did Paul the Drums, and a special thank you to Merton ... he knows why.
No problem sir! Let me know how you get on with it Was a great day, really enjoyed catching up with people, hearing Mr Claber's fantastic plans for the future, playing some great gear (LOVE the Super 12!) and learning more about myself as a player and wehre I need to focus my attention (er, everywhere...) Well done Nik and Colin for organising and well done everyone for turning up and contributing
 5.
Currently breaking in a Midget T, Compact, Super Twelve T and Big Twin T, which are all coming subject to fitting in the car!
Excellent! Need to try me er, all of those except the Compact
 6.
Probably bringing my old Status S1 fiver, looking to sell it for about £350, plenty of mojo but plays well, will advertise it properly later but if you're at the bash and interested come and have a play!
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Don't tempt me with more Statusey goodness!
 7. To be even more boring R is commonly used instead of Omega (the Greek symbol) for ohms. Ohms, in this case, being the impedance
 8. When could you possibly need more output than an S12 on its own?!!
 9.
Another odd request, will someone be able to give me a hand unloading? My back is f***ed,
I will, coz I'm a nice person. If, and only if, you promise that you will actually be bringing an Arsenal shirt of course
 10. Ooooooooooooooooooohhhweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Getting closer
 11.
Mr Neepheid, How does this sound to you.....a single cab with 2 x 15" neo speakers, 800W RMS, 4 Ohms, dimensions H17" x W 24" x D 18", complete with one cover to keep it all snuggly warm and clean, weighing only ........wait for it........only 41lbs (<20kgs)! 1 owner from new, low mileage, weekend use mainly etc etc etc and within your budget If you want to give it a try with your amp just drop me a PM with your number and we can arrange a time etc. Mike
What cab is that?!
 12. No longer able to bring my rig, sorry for anyone wanting to see the Vintage (....tumbleweed....). The GK MB200 will be there though
 13. Good man See ya next week, can't wait to try your S12
 14.
Oh yeah, don't know why I didn't think of that! But the amp's 500W, so wouldn't I run the risk of blowing the cab?
Just be sensible with the volume... If it sounds bad turn down
I had a quick look on GAK, couldn't see any small cabs for sale. Also went on the Bass Centre but they don't seem to be selling amps anymore?
Bass Centre seems to have gone a bit... odd. For a little uni practice cab I'd be tempted by the Eden ENX110 or 112. Only around £200 new and would do the job without shelling out loads.
 15. The GB amp isn't exactly big, just get a small 1x10 or 1x12 cab to take with you as well as that
 16. Sorry you won't make it but thanks for your very generous donations
 17. Just had a load of pics from a wedding we did in June, I like this one:
 18. Have only read the OP and none of the replies (no time!!) but I agree- give me any bass or amp and I'll sound the same. I have very much enjoyed my journey finding gear nirvana bit I bet if you A/B'd my tone now and 5 years ago there wouldn't be much difference... probably just I now have an amp which gives me that tone with very minimal EQ Oh, btw, my sound is "sh*t bassist" EDIT: as for the theory and practice, I did A Level music, lots of grade exams on bass, trombone, piano, French horn... Would like to think I know some stuff, however I'm well aware of my limitations and have many plans to study and fill those gaps in my knowledge/talent. Time however is very precious with a 2yr old son...
 19. Did a gig earlier this year with a buggered neck - had slept badly I think but had severe shooting pains whenever I so much as moved my head. I was totally useless for load in and out, and just stood at a slightly funny angle all night. It did ease off as the night went on, not sure if that was adrenalin or beer though....
 20.
If you like the sound of your 15", get another one. You'll get more of the same, but louder.
This

 22.
Ive had a AKG Bug thing for a few years that I use with my occasional band and a AKG wms400 pro ( I think) for my main band. The range is t great but it's enough for me to walk ateast 15-20 foot from the stage.
Cool, cheers. I want mine for much the same reason you have yours do hopefully I'm onto a winner
 23. Two AKG SR40 systems. Why two? I have no idea what frequency our singer's radio mic is so bought both off Jamesemt for 80 quid. They're fixed frequency hence the caution - I'll sell one once I am confident I have a unit which won't interfere There's a very very slight distortion vs a cable but that may just be a new battery required in the bug, will see. I only noticed this as I had an opportunity to A/B at low volume at home but on a gig it absolutely won't be noticeable.
