6. If you can find one an it was a Celestion TruVox in there IIRC, some places still have NOS of these...
 7. IMHO, if you like the Commando sound, you should buy this: Trace V-Type 1x15 combo
 8.
Never remember what series these are but they're fairly common on the bay and do the job well: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Trace-Elliot-GP7SM-3...=item27bc83fda9 a beaten up cab currently at £2 (pickup only)
The clue is in the title- it's an SM series, the one which came out after Series 6 Some say the SM / SMX range were the peak, others say it tailed off after Series 6.
 9.
Hi Merton, Saw your for sale thread on that amp, think I'm about 2 years late to see if its still for sale! Did you ever play on the 15 version for comparison?
I owned both 1x15 and 4x8 combos 15 was louder and puncture, 4x8 smoother and a lot heavier
 10. The 4x8 combo is a beast. I used to own one. About 42kg IIRC, I put castors on it... 2 vales in the pre, solid state power amp. Will sound similar to the Commando coz of the preamp in the Commando basically being a solid state (FET) version of the valve pre in the 4x8. HTH
Cheers buddy, I may be putting it up for cash sale soon if I dont get any trades.
Don't say that, I'm not sure I have anything I can sell to pay for it What sort of price would you be looking for so I can start thinking...?
 19. These are my fave basses I think - very light, comfortable and sound great. If I had money and you wanted a cash sale I'd av it Good luck with the trade!
 20.
The cab and driver must be matched to work well. With older Edens when they made their own drivers you really needed to use Eden replacements. They now use Eminence, so there's probably nothing to be gained by swapping them. As far as what Ampeg uses, they bear no resemblance to either the BP102 or B102. The B810 is a direct replacement, but if you don't have a sealed cab you won't get Ampeg tone. And the cab is only half the equation. It takes an Ampeg head as well.
Sorry for going OT here but when did Eden stop making their own drivers? Was it around the time of the US Music takover or when David left?
