    Just because a driver is thermally rated higher than your amp doesn't mean it will be any better than the original driver in that cabinet. Lots to take into account I'm afraid and xmax is certainly one of them! There are better people than I on these forums who can explain more succinctly for you tho

    Michael Buerke - it was his birthday coincidentally (it was a charity gig) so we ended up singing/playing Happy Birthday to him. Edwina Currie (haha, does she count?) Bill Bruford I think, so claimed our drummer at the time. Miss Serbia 2006 (well, we were in Serbia so she was a celeb where we were playing ) There are others but I'm buggered if I can remember them now.

    Can't say i've seen many issues with build quality of the MB heads, only the cabs. The three MB heads which I've used (I still have 2) were all absolutely spot on. But I would expect the QC to be tighter in-house

    The MB200 is an amazing amp; I have happily gigged mine (into uber sensitive Barefaced cabs) and drowned out the rest if the band Brilliant back up head and good enough to persuade me to swap my main amp from Eden to GK (MB Fusion, also a killer amp!)

    Volume control position has nothing to do with the clean power output, and to think it does is unfortunately incorrect.     Super 12T owner here, loving the 2x12 format I have to say. Previously mainly a 15s user but the reason for the change was only practical, sonically there's not much in it IMHO
