A great day, so thanks to Hamster and Silverfoxnik for doing the organising (I just poked my nose in and "sort of" did the raffle ) Great venue Colin, let's have it next year too Highlight of the day for me was realising quite how utterly in love with my gear I am, despite all the GAS

Wake up Mikey - Theo wants to vom on you! See y'all in a few hours
Is anyone coming from the east end of London who has the space/inclination to transport a Barefaced Vintage? Alex
No but mine is coming there. I suspect you want someone to take one away though.... I can do that too, but not going to East London
I will need to leave before the draw - if I get a winning ticket how would this work?
Names will be recorded so we can contact you after the event
I know you're not exactly short of sets of strings, guys, , but I have a second new set of Trace Elliot acoustic bass strings (40-100) I'm happy to add as per #2 in the list.
what would you choose? Either a money's no object, or if you're short on cash and can only afford a single cab, which would be the best use of that one box for all occasions?
I have it already - Barefaced Vintage. Winners
-
So do we buy tickets here or at the bassbash? Also shouldnt we possibly split the strings into smaller lots? More winners Also if i participated and won my pedal back.... well that would suck!
Yes, buy at the bash unless you're not attending in which case donate to BassChat, PM ped and myself with your details (i.e. how much you contributed and how many tickets that equals!) Strings will be split into lots of 5 or 10 I imagine. You will get to choose after the first 2 drawn tickets - they win the Hartke amp and pedal in that order, after that it's a free choice Updated list on first post....
What I'd like to try is 2 Compacts with my Thunderfunk. I have heard 1 Compact with my amp and it sounded good and I know Jonthebass rates his 2 Compacts with his LM2. Would any Compact owners like to hear their cabs in a stack?
The Vintage is 2 Compacts in a stack, conveniently in one box! Mine will be there and be deafening people so you're welcome to try it

Merton replied to overwater#1's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Just done a very rough estimate on the combo being 70x80x60 and 50kg cos I can't find the exact measurements - comes in at £20.37 including vat for next day delivery. as long as they can move it they'll deliver it - the one that delivered mine had a truck with a taillift and a trolley to wheel it to my door.
Blimey, good work! -

Jase over on Finnbass is a new Warwick employee, South East Sales Rep or something; maybe try him? IIRC GHS make Warwick's strings btw, but might be wrong!
-
It's 100W, not 350W, sorry! Nice cmobos, I've always hankered after one myself but they never crop up at the right time. Anything in the £150-£250 region seems to be a sell price over the last year on fleabay.

Did a Christmas party back in 2006 IIRC where the free bar destroyed me by the first set. I kept wobbling back into the mic for the guitarist and it made some awful noises, so instead of moving away from it I told the rest of the band to f**k off, several times. They swear blind I also told audience members to f**k off but I didn't, I may have been battered but I'm never that rude and I didn't lose my memory! Didn't play too well but the room was so boomy I doubt anyone noticed anyway....
