2.
Oh and stear clear of Feedme Music they are a bunch of utter c**ts.
Hell yeah, though for some reason the singer in my originals band seems to think they're worthwhile gigs. Us paying £240 to play to no-one on a Thursday night, worthwhile? F**k off! It's much easier doing smaller gigs where it's free to get in (or very cheap) and where there is no obligation to sell x number of tickets. Avoid London, head further out....
 3.
Hey everyone, I was supposed to be out of the country for this one, but thats looking increasingly unlikely - can I tentatively add my name to the list? I'll bring along the Shuker course blue P bass. Is anyone planning on getting the train in from Essex?
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. PM'd
 4.
Special composite plywood - slightly stiffer but substantially lighter! Alex
How can you make the Vintage lighter?! Impressive work
 5. Good work men! Delbert - and this is assuming you're the purchaser - you will love this I'm sure
 6. Barefaced Vintage = Epic win for the GAS Hit for the decade, let alone 2009
 7.
I've had a look at the V-type combo but didn't know if it'd be loud enough.
It kept up with 2 Marshall Mode 4s (thru 4x12 cabs) live when I owned it. Believe me, it's very loud!
 8. Get the V-Type combo which Tinman is selling. Awesome combo which will give you a mix of Trace and GK tones and is fookin loud
 9.
Maybe we should make a load and try to sell them at your gigs. Buy the CD, T-Shirt and bass guitar. Winner.
You've got 2 weeks to get me 10 made... Get to it, man!
 10.
Very cool. Do you get many bassists approaching you after shows asking what went wrong with your frets?
I've had people ask if they can buy it off me, why fanned frets are good, and also had people show absolutely no interest whatsoever! It definitely provokes more of a reaction than anything else I've played tho :_
Hey Mert, it looks like theres not a whole lot of meat under your right hand wrist - would the design be improved by widening the lower bout to give you something to lean your wrist on?
No thanks, that would lead me to lean on the body more and that would squish my wrist and lead to carmpy, carpal tunnelly type problems. I'm really comfy with it as it is
 11. One more from Farcebook:
 12. Some pics: Interestingly both pics make it look like the bass is in an uncomfortable position but it really isn't, not quite sure what's going on there
 13. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
 14.
I must stress, the bass head isnt the GP12SMX pre amp head, its the actual Series 6 GP12 head So im hoping this will work the same Only reason i added that is because it says "71-RACK-KIT-TE Stainless Steel Rack Kit Fits Most 2 Space Rack Units Series 6, GP7SM and GP12SMX $19.99 Pair, USD" Which seems to me like its for the GP12SMX, But i dont know if there's any difference in the measurements?
If you look again it does actually say "Series 6" on the BAS quote so you'll be fine
 15. ROQsolid now have the Vintage online too
 16.
Umm, can't the 900 run 2 Vintages?
Even better
 17.
I wonder how much of the 'woolly Ashdown' moans are related to specific speaker cabs? Unless an amp is complete rubbish (which I know Ashdown amps are far from being!) it should be pretty easy to EQ out wooliness. Alex
Indeedy. I bet an ABM900 through the Vintage would destroy my home and sound delicious.
 18. Well, I was playing a wedding. But not in Oxforsdshire. So, not I.
 19. Working on it, I've seen some on a digital camera or two but not yet been given any copies
 20. Gigged this baby 3 times in the last 11 days, that's about 5 1/2 hours of giggage so far under its belt. Nothing but compliments from me (obviously), the soundmen, the audience. Plays great, sounds great, looks great. Now got a 2 week wait til the next gig (boo!) but it'll be there and it'll be rather fine at what it does. One thing I've noticed, it's bloody good at staying in tune, which is great! Slight tweaks out of the gigbag and that's it for a gig. Nice Having gigged it this much, my comments in the previous post are pretty much still accurate, there's not a lot (design-wise) I'd like to change on my bass.
 21. Gigged the Vintage twice this weekend, yesterday was a sh*tty pub gig with lots of emo haircuts using my rig. One guy, with a really cool mullet, thought the best thing to do was use his Hartke HA3500 head, boost all the lows and turn the wick up to 10. Honestly, the bass sounded like it was going through my function band's 6kW PA subs but was only going through the Vintage. Awesome power! Seems to have survived the haircuts too
 22.
actually that is funnily enough one of my thoughts. If you will excuse the question, have you got a big one? (oh dear..)
No, I don't. Oh dear, poor Nic! Ahem. No, I have a Vintage but had the pleasure of having the pre-prod Big One in my possession for a month or two at the beginning of the year and it is a bloody fantastic cab. Oooodles of bass, ooodles of mid and ooodles of shimmery top end, and it's so sensitive and loud I made the flat shake with the volume on one (LH500 powering it). Lovely!
 23. Sell everything, get the F1 and a Big One
 24.
Sometimes its nice to get the full power from the head into one cab....depends on space/needs I guess. I have some 8 ohm cabs and 1 4x10 Berg 4 ohm cab.

I have hit the limiter on my old LM2 at 300w - where it wont go any louder, so just would prefer the full 500w headroom
In both instances, a more sensitive cab would help. That said, I don't know the specs of the Markbass cabs so forgive me if I'm talking sh*te and generally not helping
 25. Why do you "need" the full 500W from the Markbass heads?
