2. Nice! Do it

Bolin NS 5

Lovely bass, good luck with the sale!
4.
They are lengthening the B string without increasing the scale length, presumably to improve the tension, playability and tone.
Aye, very like the upside down Hamer headstock on their Chapparel 5 strings. Why couldn't they put all the other tuners in line with this tho? That's what I want to know! Anyhoo, sorry for the thread hijack, lovely bass
5.
Inovative "Extended B" peghead design Seems like a good idea actually!!!
Still looks wrong to me, stupid idea! (But will now go and find out why Fodera do it...)
6. Now that I like! Very nice
7.
... a 2x15'...
Now that's a speaker config you really could call the Big One!
8.
As a famous player (I think it was Jamerson) once said, the funk is in the fingers. You can buy all the gear that player X uses, and believe me stick around here and you will see plenty of clones, put if you dont play like they do you wont sound like they do. The Ox always sounded like the Ox no matter what he was playing, even though some people did not like his later sound it was always Ox sound.
Slightly OT but following on from this, there's a thread on TB at the mo about Rocco Prestia needing a new amp - several guys are saying how they've seen him play Edens, SWRs, GKs etc etc and all the time just sounds the same. Same with me, I can play Ashdowns, Hartkes, Traces, etc etc and still always sound sh*t
9.
Aw f*** it, Friday probably! [NHS pay day]
Good man!
10. I gave into temptation and, as a Christmas/ well-done-for-paying-off-a-chuink-of-CC-bill present I bought one from Coda on Monday, it arrived yesterday and immediately went into hiding in my old Trace head's flightcase so that Nic doesn't notice immediately It won't get a proper going over til Sunday's wedding but I have to say I'm dead excited! So when are you giving in?
11. Found a good way to solve problem #2: Sell a pedal, take another one off the board so the PSU is only supplying 3 pedals now. Clever!! Problem #1 less sure I can do anything about if it's a dicky switch, it's all so tightly crammed I'd probably bugger the whole thing up. Did discover that the battery my colleague had put in was deader than lime green tank tops with orange shirts though. Not sure if that could have affected it...
12. You have to be able to play backwards for that Sorry, not helpful. I actually have no idea what equipment was used on that, really must watch the Classic Albums thing...

Rumple

Just sold my EBS Octabass to Dave, dead quick and easy, thanks! Hope you enjoy the pedal
14. I'll keep offering this as another amp suggestion coz I think it is so bargainous: Hartke LH500 Mine turned up today, can't wait to plug it in!
15. Good to see it's arrived safely!
16.
My 500 quid has just bought me this: Result *hops excitedly from foot to foot, waiting for it to turn up*
Very nice too! The one SWR I've ever played through really impressed me. Enjoy
17. And replied. I think this is sold pending
18. I wouldn't worry too much about power ratings - if the speakers don't like it you'll be able to hear! I'm going to be running the LH500 through a 240W 4x8 cab this weekend (8ohms, the LH500 produces about 350W at 8 ohms apparently) but as long as I'm careful with the volume and bass controls it'll all be fine
19. Have a look here - I've just got the LH500 (it arrived this morning). Can't wait to use it in anger tomorrow night
20. EBS Octabass pedal - the black version Bought this 2nd hand (but the previous owner had barely used it) about 5 years ago. I love it but following a thread on the FX forum I've decided to follow suit and cut my fx down to the two I use. No idea what to ask for this - I got it for £80. Is £50 + p&p too much? (EDIT): it's in good condition, not great but not bad at all for its age. It's boxed, but comes with NO power supply as I use a multi-supply for all my pedals. SOLD.
21. Ste, so sorry to hear about the band Even sadder to see you having to let this go and I can't afford it!! Unless you'll accept a tenner and a packet of McCoy's Flame Grilled Steak crisps?
22. Rich, it's gorgeous. Muchly jealous. But happy re. the Streamline 5 news
23. That has got to be the most wattage per pound for a head - nice! Having heard Phil Mulford play thru one of these on several occaisons I can say it beats the more "standard" Laney gear easily, nice amp! What Trace did you get?
24.
Thus we are all simply making wise investments. Alex
That's exactly how I sold it to my brain to persuade it to press "Buy"!
