  1. AFAICS the main differences are: 750W power amp Dual VU meters ”Temperature controlled low noise” fan cooling Transformer balanced DI Er, that’s it.
  2. I suspect so! Be interesting to see what else is on there, and how much it is given the Evo V is … a lot!
  3. Nope, that is something else I think. I’m not sure I’m supposed to know so Just don’t Mention I said anything…. Maybe pretend I was in a Theatre of Dreams making this up 🤓
  4. A signature amp for someone.
  5. This to me is the equivalent of calling “shotgun” when getting into a car. I now call dibs on @Bunion’s amp 😁😅
  6. Just sell me your current one and then you have an excuse 😁
  7. Also very interested to see how this develops @eude and I (and many others to be fair) own ACGs with 32" or shorter scale lengths with excellent bottom B strings :0 For me Newtone and LaBella seem to have the medium and short scale string science sorted; that along with the construction of the neck and neck/body join are the key things I think.
  8. Not sure they can be bridged I’m afraid
  9. I have an Elf as a back up and couldn’t be happier with it. The core tone is wonderful and it can get loud. A few years ago I was depping for a loud rock band in a pub in London and due to the slightly annoying load in decided to leave my ABM in the car and use the Elf and a single Super Compact. I didn’t have PA support but the amp coped and sounded wonderful. There wasn’t really any headroom to go louder if we had gotten to that stage but it filled the pub room with the single Barefaced cab mighty impressively.
  10. The ABM isn’t all tube… it has a valve in the preamp but is 100% solid state apart from that
  11. This is very 80s and very cool (IMVHO!)
  12. This is interesting indeed 😀
  13. Just a quick shout out to @joetruscott- he’s a lovely guy, a brilliant bassist (especially when dressed as a panda) and looks after his (awesome) collection. Buy with confidence. Surprised this is still here tbh!
  14. I was saying to @eude just this weekend that I fancied me one of these. This thread isn't helping
  15. S’manth bought my Pedaltrain Metro16, it was an absolute pleasure of a deal
  16. Only one band rehearses regularly. The other two rehearse if needed but we have been together for almost ten years and don’t feel the need to see each other every week. The band that rehearses each week hasn’t yet gigged, but it’s new and we’re sorting out the set ready to emerge into dive bars all over the south east later this year 🤓
  17. Yep written by Mike McCready as a bit of a Hendrix freak out. Personally I find it’s one of their weaker songs from their early days - Eddie’s lyrics and warbling just feels a bit 6th Form College singer to me. There we go, that can be my unpopular opinion
  18. I really must get one* next time the BC classifieds tempt me, that is exactly the sort of review I didn’t need to read @Woody1957😅 *probably the R400 but the WB100 intrigues me just as much
  19. I’ve recently been told (albeit by the singer in one of my bands, who has been a nurse for 30+ years) that my knee pain and discomfort is osteoarthritis. She said to try ibuprofen but then said a better bet (for reasons already alluded to above) was MSM, which you can get from Holland and Barrett. I’ll be honest, a week and a bit on from starting to use MSM it’s not really done anything for me yet but I’m wondering if it may just take a bit longer to kick in. We’ll see - I’ll report back in another week PS - I’m 41 so not too dissimilar an age from you @NasalFloss
  20. Ooh I love that. A 32” version would be perfect 😃
  21. Ben bought a Mooer bass sweeper from me last weekend, very quick and easy deal, many thanks!
  22. Great rig and price. If you were closer my wife would probably kill me 😅
