  2. Agree with your comments about Andersen Paak and the Chillis, though where we were the sound for AP was a little mushy. Clearly a tight AF band having the time of their lives though Missed Thundercat sadly.
  3. Yeah I think the sound sucked for at least the first four songs or so, then suddenly Flea’s bass appeared with clarity and balls and it was a different kettle of fish. Have to say, for me personally, I gave up after Californication so a chunk of the set was lost on me. But I enjoyed the couple they played from BSSM at least Anthony Kiedis’ voice seemed on fine form, which was refreshing given all the stories over the years.
  4. Massive thanks to @Old Man Riva for going well above and beyond, not only did Mick sort me a parking permit, he gave me alternative options in case the road was full and made sure the tube was running for us. Top man, thanks 🙏🏻 MiniMert loved the gig (and to be fair so did I) 😀
  5. I concur
  6. That’s not a graphite neck I don’t think?
  7. Well you’re a legend, thank you. Will Pm a bit later when I’ve got home 👍🏻
  8. Nope, they lull you in and then when you get to pay it says “sorry this space isn’t available for the times you selected”
  9. Hi all, Long story short, going to see RHCP tomorrow with miniMert plus his mum (my ex) plus her elder daughter. My ex bought the tickets and I had naively assumed she had sorted car parking…. She hasn’t. Really should have learnt but we’ve been separated 10 years and I forgot that she doesn’t think ahead. (And nor it seems so I!) Train strikes mean public transport is out of the question, and I can’t find any fecking spaces in any of the nearby car parks. Anyone relatively local with any tips or hints as to somewhere I can pop my car without it being clamped/towed/put on bricks? Ive tried the various apps for people who rent out their spaces to no avail 😩
  10. These look amazing, very cool design. And an epic advert @Happy Jack 😎
  11. The older ABM power sections were tested to 2 ohms and would survive if you aren’t going hell for leather - as @chyc says that’s where things get messy. Mark Gooday once told me my ABM should have no problem with a 2.67ohm load and would shut down into protection mode if it did. Remember of course that the nominal impedance of cabs tends to be at a specific frequency and actually all other frequencies are higher than this...
  12. Emma Okto Nøjs gone, everything else still here 👍🏻
  13. I’ve decided to go down the HX Effects route so pretty much everything on the board - plus the board itself - is up for sale. Prices include UK Mainland delivery. All pedals naturally have velcro on the bottom, also see specific notes by each item in the list for any other info. If you want more pics of any of them please just ask. The Barefaced Machinist, Line 6 G30 and Swiff tuner are NOT for sale. Edit to add - the only trades I’d consider are a Line 6 Expression pedal, a Laney Digbeth preamp or a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. Ta 🤘🏻 Ashdown OriginAL preamp/DI - sold Supplied with original box signed by Norman Watt-Roy MXR Bass Compressor - sold No box, great little compressor if you’re new to it (like wot I are) Emma Electronic Okto Nojs - sold Wonderful pedal which makes some cool octave and weird synthy noises. With original box. AMT Bass Wah - sold Good fun, micro wah pedal. With original box. TC Electronics Corona Chorus - £45 No box Warwick Rockboard ISO Power brick - £70 Plus all the various cables which came with it and others I bought to suit the board Tourtech pedalboard and gigbag - £40 Velcroed on top for the pedals and underneath for the PSU. Can supply additional velcro if required. Missing the black plugs for the holes on the rear. Mooer pedal toppers x10 - £2 for the lot Or free if you buy one of the pedals and want them
  14. Haken are f-ing marvellous. I’ll have a listen to the others on your list - cheers 👍🏻🤘🏻👌🏻
  15. I’ve been on a quest recently to find a small-footprint ~100W valve amp. Along the lines of Handbox, there’s also Rheingold and PureTone (both in the super boutique several£k price range) or HotAmps which come in a bit lower. In the end though, the last two gigs I did with my Class D Glockenklang reminded me quite how special that thing is. I can make it sound gnarly with the (very nicely voiced) built-in drive or make it super clean and crisp, plus of course anything and everything in between. It will go louder and stay cleaner far longer than a valve amp when I need it, or can break up and give me all the warmth. In the onstage mix I think I’d be very hard pushed to tell the difference, though I’d love to be proven wrong on that just to cause my bank balance some serious trouble (the PureTone Offset XL is whispering sweet nothings at me…) So, I guess my point is there are solutions out there. Another consideration would be a valve preamp pedal - EBS Valve Drive, Ashdown OriginAL, Markbass Vintage etc. in the grand scheme of things they aren’t the same of course but as @BassmanPaul attests you can get close.
  16. Oh hello, that looks to be perfect thank you 😊
  17. Tbh I think I’ll just use two different PSUs and an extension lead - cheaper than a new supply 😃
  18. Cheers - that’s the Stomp rather than Effects and I’ve convinced myself I read somewhere that the Stomp is less power hungry 😅 This thread suggests I need 2A for start up…: https://line6.com/support/topic/37195-hx-effects-what-is-the-maximum-power-draw/ edit- more useful info from Line6 for anyone who’s interested: https://line6.com/support/topic/32249-helix-hx-power-supply-woes/
  19. The manual is stinky poo 😂 The Effects is labelled up as 3A and I’ve googled it and come up with various different answers but most of which suggest needing 2A, and some which suggest the Stomp is less power hungry. All a bit confusing hence asking 🙂 Thanks for your help - certainly making me think there is light at the end of the tunnel! Might phone Andertons tomorrow and see what they reckon…
  20. Nice one cheers - so two 660mA sockets are doing the job for you then? Good to know - don’t want to fry a PSU haha
  21. Interesting - the specs for that seem to state a max 660mA supply per socket… yet Line 6 say the HX Effects needs a 3A supply… I take it you’ve never had a problem? EDIT - or do you use a current doubler or something across two or more outputs?
