  1. I had a noisy headphone output on my RM800 and was told to use cheaper, shittier headphones 🤣 I think it’s just an inherent part of the design, it picks up a tiny bit of the PWM signal of the SMPS is what Guy and Dave told me when I stood in their workshop. Don’t think it’s unique to your RM at all! Anyhoo, great price for a head I really liked when I had it
  2. Definitely the same product; seems a bargain to me!
  3. Fred from Peavey says it really does have that dna in it… let’s hope!
  4. Very keen to try the ‘64 Black Panel. Dammit. More shiny new gear to long for 😄
  5. I think the QC will be fine - just because it’s made in China doesn’t mean lower quality thesedays. But I do agree that the price and weight are slightly wide of the mark!
  6. I note the head claims to be able to drive “FOUR Trace Pro cabs”. Given that the 4x10 is 8 ohms and the head’s minimum load is 4 ohms, I wonder if the 2x12 is 16 ohms? Weird if so…
  7. Agreed. The cab is clearly aimed at the pro market where roadies don’t care!
  8. Cab is 76lbs…. https://peavey.com/trace-elliot-trace-pro-4x10-road-ready-bass-enclosure/p/03619590 Edit: and the full details on the head: https://peavey.com/trace-elliot-te-1200-bass-amplifier-head/p/03618570
  9. I think you’ve answered your own question, you like the AG700 so go with that. The SFX Micro Thumpinator appears on here every now and then, it’s small enough and cheap enough to make shipping into the EU from the UK relatively easy
  10. Agree on all points. Fred seems very, very enthusiastic about this and really believes they’ve nailed the old school Trace tone. I really hope I can try one out at some point because it ticks all the boxes for me - everything I need and nothing I don’t. Would have to be bloody amazing to dethrone my Glockenklang mind you …
  11. Why? Almost everything is made in China thesedays from your phone, computer, tv etc… And even if it said “Made in the UK”, almost all of the component parts would have - you’ve guessed it - been made in China anyway…
  12. I have a very, very similar Finn 4/32. This will be a stupendously good bass and that is an absolute steal of a price!
  13. I think Fred from Peavey said that they aren't super light but they're not Trace of old either.
  14. The head is just over 5kg apparently. The cabs… not sure yet!
  15. Whilst making them heavier than the sun of course...
  16. I've seen a few "made in China " type comments too. Daft.
  17. According to Fred from Peavey the cabs aren’t ridiculously heavy but not super light either. Rumour has it the 2x12 (still a short time off being officially released) is a sonic beast. I’m not really in the market for the cabs though. The amp is on my “must try” list however, but at present there’s zero chance of me being able to afford it any time soon thanks to good old Eunice 😅
  18. Doesn’t matter. Rotatable logo!! 😆
  19. Apparently $999 in the US, so expect the same numbers over here with a pound sign instead…. And the logo on the cab is rotatable depending on how you stack it 😆
  20. Yeah @eude and I were saying the same thing about the fonts. I really like the idea of the head (it’s the backlit green innit!), and am looking forward to the 2x12 cab as well… they look well thought out.
