    Try something along those lines. It works great for me. A bit of grit but not too much.

    Yeah, it’s a balancing act of input gain and valve drive but it should have more lower gain range I think. I tried changing the valve and it did flip all. A former Ashdown employee had an interesting name for this pedal. I couldn’t possibly repeat it here 🤓

    I use 18V for mine, it’s fine. Still works great for me for my various rock bands, just wish the valve drive was a bit tamer as getting a light overdriven tone is bloody hard 😂

    That’s a good question, no idea! No doubt more than the Celestions each … would £150/driver be too much?

    Likely answer; I’d have spoken to Barefaced to put in the Eminence drivers around which the cab is designed though… just seems an odd thing to do to me

    I had a noisy headphone output on my RM800 and was told to use cheaper, shittier headphones 🤣 I think it’s just an inherent part of the design, it picks up a tiny bit of the PWM signal of the SMPS is what Guy and Dave told me when I stood in their workshop. Don’t think it’s unique to your RM at all! Anyhoo, great price for a head I really liked when I had it

    I think the QC will be fine - just because it’s made in China doesn’t mean lower quality thesedays. But I do agree that the price and weight are slightly wide of the mark!

    I note the head claims to be able to drive “FOUR Trace Pro cabs”. Given that the 4x10 is 8 ohms and the head’s minimum load is 4 ohms, I wonder if the 2x12 is 16 ohms? Weird if so…
